A little more information might be helpful. When you say file sharing, what exactly do you mean? Using a peer to peer service or software? Transfering files within your own private network or a networked business enviorment? Transfering/copying a file to/from a internet cloud (or otherwise) backup service, a backup HDD or USB jump drive? Please note: There has been issues reported concerning Windows XP Professional being used in a networked business enviorment with multiple endpoints and Immunet's newest 126.96.36.19925 build so if you are using a "private network" these bugs could be affecting you in the same manner perhaps. These XP & Server 2003 OS bugs should be fixed in the next roll-out. In addition, Immunet does not condone or support any illegal crack/keygen upload/download service if that's what you're refering to. You run a great risk of infecting your machine with malware if you use one of these sites. Also, having to disable the Windows Firewall to transfer/copy a file "sounds very suspicious" to me from a security standpoint. This seneriao normally should not take place.
