I am currently working on a project where we require document scanning.
The only open source anti virus i could find, which exposes its api for scanning is clamAV ,and i have installed Immunet to get the clamav engine running.
I have been facing a lot of issues with the invocation of the api , we are required to implement this functionality asap , we can go in for purchasing the product if we are able to see the results. Can you please help troubleshoot the problem I am facing?

Currently am trying it on a win-7 machine and I keep getting net.taldius.clamav.ScannerException: Error while requesting protocol channel exception.
I have my port 3310 already forwarded and windows firewall disabled.

Please help me out with the issue.

Hi manasgrover. although ClamAV has the ability to scan PDF, zip, 7zip, Rar, Flash and Java class files among a host of others it "can not scan Java Archive Files" (JAR). That's not part of the Java targeting with the current 0.98 build. More info regarding the file types supported by ClamAV can be found here. http://www.clamav.ne...-been-released/

Regards, Ritchie...
