I have a windows 7 32 bits... was infected by a virus clam.win.trojan.bancos-2115... several files were infected including firefox... ran Immunet full scan and cleaned the system... took the HDD out and scanned from another computer as G: drive and didn't detect nothing... so put it back, and try to reinstall firefox, but when installing there are 8 warnings about same virus... including firefox.exe...

Why is that happening? am I infected by a rootkit?

It is clamav engine problem :( False detection, many files as Win.Trojan.Bancos-2115:(

Database number 21360 had a large number of false positive fixes.

Have you tried to run Immunet in Safe Mode to make sure there aren't any leftover malicious files? Not a bad idea I think. First manually update Immunet to get the newest defs. and then restart, enter Safe Mode without Networking and do a full scan of all your hard drives.

If you continue to have issues you are welcome to submit a SDT report to Support. More info here. http://support.immun...ic-tool-report/

Best wishes, Ritchie...

Thanks,

Daphne

Anyone know how to get past this false positive on eset? No matter what I do it blocks it.

Hi Karkoon, have you tried to create an exclusion with your ESET product regarding the False Positive? Here is a link to ESET's support page outlining how to add exclusions if you're not sure how it's done. http://support.eset....iewlocale=en_US

If you're using NOD32 here is a Youtube video that shows how exclusions are created.

If none of this info is helpful might I suggest you contact ESET's support instead.

Regards, Ritchie...
