Hello, it's my first post here.

I've been having a very tough time trying to uninstall immunet. I keep getting an error that's something like this "cannot stop the immunet service, uninstall failed" I've tried to stop anything from the task manager as well as cmd but it tells me that the service doesn't exist.

I then went on to try revo unistaller pro, and the windows clean up utility but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone have any idea?

Hi Sango, sorry to hear you're having difficulties uninstalling Immunet.

Revo Uninstaller Pro didn't work? That is really odd if it was used correctly!

Did you try logging in as Administrator, re-boot into Safe Mode without Networking and then use Revo Pro? If not, you may want to give that a try Sango.

Regards, Ritchie...

Hello Ritchie, sorry for the late response. I tried what you suggested and it worked perfectly. Thank you very much!

I've had the same problem with a "ghost" scanner after installing new Windows Build Creators Edition.

I AM NOT AN IT GUY....Just to inform you all.

I had used IOBIT UNINSTALLER to uninstall and it had stated a message that "All was removed...residual files also".   FILES NOT REMOVED FROM COMPUTER.

I had used the uninstaller.exe file in IMMMUNET Folder...unable to uninstall.

I had even tried (desperate I admit) to wander into Registry Editor to delete the registries...PERMISSION DENIED.

I had UNINSTALLED the Windows Build and returned to the previous build, I was able to UNINSTALL Immunet AV without fail.

I HAD REINSTALLED Immunet on top of the new build and experienced the SAME Problem. I had reinstalled on the premise that during the WINDOWS Install, files were deleted.

I can only suggest that a screen snip be taken of all IMMUNET files and folders before the BUILD is installed, and THEN compare with the folders afterwards. If any file has been removed,  then I would be safe to say then it was removed by Windows Defender.

So.......Sorry to say...I am at a loss........but as it is said More brains are better than one.

Hi Yookie, the Immunet support/development team is aware of the conflicts between version 6.0 and the newest 1709 build of Windows 10 Creators Edition. They are currently hard at work trying to find a fix for this (please view this Support topic). http://support.immun...er-win-upgrade/

Sorry for the uninstall problem you've encountered.

The team is also working on a possible work-around in the mean time until a new Immunet build is rolled out to fix these issues once and for all but it may be several more weeks before that happens.

Hello everyone,

If you're experiencing difficulties uninstalling Immunet please visit the forum announcement under Windows 10 Incompatibility found at http://support.immun...-compatibility/ for instructions on removing.

Thanks,
