Immunet Anti Virus Causes Firefox To Crash On Start-Up

Recommended Posts

Firefox will not open when Immunet is running. When you try to open Firefox it crashes right away and will not open.

According to Firefox Support Forum It's possible that Immunet is injecting dll's into Firefox and causing it to crash.

Posted Question to Firefox Support Forum Below:

Recently installed Immunet Anti Virus and if Immunet is running Firefox crashes at start-up. If Immunet is stopped Firefox opens normally. Is there a known problem with Immunet Anti Virus and Firefox?

Are you using Win 10? It seems most of the conflicts being reported of late deals with this OS and the newest 6.0.2.10582 build of Immunet. I use Win 7 with a "highly customized" Firefox and have no difficulty with the browser launching.

Resolved the issue by installing Firefox 64 Bit Software.

Hi gregoss, glad to hear the 64bit version works for you. There is a new 6.0.4.10585 version of Immunet that addresses the issues that some Win 10 users were experiencing. You should be able to update to this version through the UI by clicking on the Update Now button.
