  1. On it's way now, RobT... Thanks for the ultra speedy response!
  2. Hi Not entirely sure where to post this so sorry if I messed up, but here goes. A while ago I bought Immunet Plus protection for 3 PC's. Sadly I found it a little buggy after only installing and testing on one PC so removed it and never bothered to make use of the other licences. So currently I do not have any pc running Immunet (as my main PC is Linux based which Immunet doesn't work with) but may of just found a use for them and as we are now up to v3 I thought I would give it another go. I not used Immunet since a while before the acquisition announcement from Sourcefire. Not sure if that makes any difference. So, could someone reset my account and make sure all 3 licences are available if they're not already. Cheers and thanks.

    Task Bar Icon

I too think the icon could be a little bit more intuitive. I don't mind the look, but it would be nice if it swapped colour to signify an issue or status. Like it went amber if it was disconnected from the cloud. Purple if it was out of date, Green if it was scanning etc. Also, I would be most impressed if the right click task bar icon featured an 'Update' option, rather than having to bring up the full console to check for updates. Although this is a cloud based application, so we shouldn't really be getting 'periodic' updates to the virus database in this way anyway as they should be streamed. But more for checking product updates I suppose. I dunno, thinking aloud, or rather quietly with a keyboard.... Been a long day.
  4. I voted yes for a Chrome extension... Not sure what you would make it do though, scan Google search results like AVG's LinkScanner maybe? Cool idea though.
  5. Thanks for the responses people, at least I am not alone with this issue. Sorry for not mentioning I am using the Plus version, my bad. I try to think of these things when posting but always leave something important out. I still have faith in the product and I don't wish to stop using it, but some of the little niggles people have mentioned (and I know they may appear little niggles but could pose huge problems in some cases to rectify) take the shine off what would otherwise be a wonderful product. Maybe Immunet have a more 'out in the open' style to testing and developing where some of the more established older firms would do this in secret and behind closed doors... I have no idea of the size of business Immunet is compare to the likes of Sophos etc also. It just feels like I am using the Beta version of something and the real thing... the finished product is yet to come. I appreciate others may say things like "Sod the interface, just give me the best detection engine available" and such. But I understand the fact that you can have the 'Ferrari' of detection engines, incredible software design and core infrastructure... but if it's packaged up and delivered to the end user badly so it looks like a beaten up Lada, and they have an opportunity (however small) to get a bad impression.. Then all that hard work is gone to waste. Just like if you had a really polished looking product that done naff all. So as someone who has Paid for the Plus version, I would rather developers didn't spend their time with creating more spruced up funky installers for which I am to see little to no benefit and making the full software available for trial periods etc. I would rather they fixed some of these bugs (like this one and the 0 files scanned root-kit scan) that drive us the customer nuts instead. Sorry if this sounds like a rant. It wasn't meant to be and never started off that way. I just check on these forums from time to time and every now and again see something to the effect of "new update" and mentioned in it always seems to be "Oh we have an improved installation interface" Stuff that! Give me reason to believe the product I already have installed actually updates first! I'm left with the feeling of "ah well, you guys have my money. So we'll keep making the installer look better to give people a bigger wow factor to get more cash in from new business and put all the bug fixes for existing users on the back burner"
  6. Hi All I know this issue has been mentioned before but was uncertain if it was ever resolved. I am running XP sp3 32-bit with Windows Defender also. I have had this problem on and off since I started using Immunet so know it's nothing new. Have tried disabling and removing Defender but made no difference. Just tried an update today using the latest version recently upgraded ( and alas. The system reports I am up to date, although seeing this it does not fill me with confidence. Is there anything I can do or is it just a case of waiting for the bugs to be ironed out? Regs TollyBugg
  7. Hi All Sadly I am still experiencing this issue. Have just upgraded my Plus to and my RootKit scan, scans 0 files. See attached image. I have already removed and reinstalled the product 2 or 3 times (purchased 3 licences but only ever used so far on the one pc.) So am worried about re-installing and not being able to activate. Any help or advice chaps? Also noted that since the update, I am no longer up to date?? I am Secure, Connected, but not up to date. Fix It option doesn't work.
  8. Yeah, so basically someone walked by the server wearing a magnetic bracelet. or You could just make up some stuff about flux capacitors not working properly and a series of unfortunate events out of your control caused an anomaly on the network. Just kiddin'
  9. Ahh Just popped back up... Now working ok, c'mon guys, what you do?
  10. I too am getting exactly the same error. I can even log out and log in to the community section. But it still thinks I am disconnected.. I have also successfully downloaded some immunet updates too. Something weird going on. Sort it out immunet!!!
  11. Ahh ok, thank you for explaining. Just so long as I can contact someone to sort it out, that's all that matters. Cheers Millard
  12. Hi Orlando, thanks for your reply. Although I'm not sure I understand your response. What do you mean "Have not received licenses from third place in each location?" I know the licence I received lasts 2 years... but I bought a package for 3 pc's for 2 years. But only received 1 licence code after the payment screen. So I assume this 1 licence code is good for 3 pc's. How does that licence code know it has been used? and on which pc(s)? and most importantly, if it is currently still in use? If I install ImmunetPlus on all 3 pc's, then format one, will I have a problem reinstalling ImmunetPlus again? From my experience it should not matter how many times this software is installed, and it shouldn't matter on how many different pc's it is installed... Just so long as that licence key is only 'active' on 3 pc's at any given time. So how does the licence system work? I have used a lot of software for many years, some using very complex registration and licensing techniques.. but so far this does seem really quite vague.
  13. Hi All Newbie here so be gentle. I have just become a fully paid up member of the Plus club. Quite happy so far, I feel I have invested in something more than just a plain old AV product. But, as always I have a question. Sorry by the way if this is posted in the wrong location, or already been answered. I did do a quick search but couldnt find much reagrding uninstalling / unregistering and re-installs with regards to licences. I have purchased the full whack, 3 pc's, 2 years. Currently only installed on one laptop thus far. What I am concerned about is if (for technical reasons) I have to rebuild this same laptop, and re-install ImmunetPlus.. am I re-using the 1 licence, the first I originaly took up? (as it's the same pc I think it should be) Or have I just taken up a second un-willingly? I have a habit of tinkering and breaking my pc's, being an IT Engineer an all, comes with the job. So rebuild my own a few times a year. Hope I explained it well. Thanks in advance for your help folks. Matt
