  1. Dr. Franken...: What a filthy job. Igor: Could be worse. Dr. Franken...: How? Igor: Could be raining.
  2. Don't forget to delete the files lastupd and update.log (a lastupd file can make trouble). During tests, I always rename the cvd files to see if fresh cvd's are being downloaded. FrankenImmunet, sounds good. FrankenImmunet with IgorCloud.
  3. Did you overwrite the old files in the folder %programfiles%\Immunet\clamav\[version] ??? Immunet use the old engine if you create a new folder with the new version of the engine in %programfiles%\Immunet\clamav\. This folder is set in the configuration files of Immunet and you cant edit this cofiguration file about protection functions of Immunet. (If you edit the file, Immunet cant start and stop protection od the system) So you have to stop the Immunet service and overwrite the old files i. e. in ...\Immunet\clamav\0.102.1.76 Start the Immunet service and try again the update 2-3 times. This is not a Problem or Bug. ClamAV doesent Update the CVD Files if Engine is outdated. This is not a bug, it is a security feature. The update Button in Immunet only check for a Update of Immunet it self and runs freshclam.exe (from ClamAV) to update the CVD files. Thats all. So if the Engine is outdated freshclam.exe cancel the update. You can check this also if you run freshclam.exe in CMD.
  4. Immunet 7.3.2, what a disappointment! ClamAV Engine is out of date! How often do I have to repeat this in this forum? Installed ClamAV Engine is 0.102.1.76 Current ClamAv Engine is clamav-0.103.0 Download: https://www.clamav.net/downloads#otherversions https://www.clamav.net/downloads/production/clamav-0.103.0-win-x64-portable.zip https://www.clamav.net/downloads/production/clamav-0.103.0-win-x64-portable.zip.sig Update does not work, the updater downloads the daily.cvd but is unable to apply the update. Shame!!! Read this: https://support.immunet.com/topic/7500-not-updated/ After the manual update of the CLAMAV engine I get the message after pressing Update that Immunet is up to date. However, there is no current CVD file. The update of the CVD files only starts when you press Update button again. Now, thanks to the new engine, successful. You are really bunglers, if one may say that. Really! Edit: The problem could be solved by integrating the update of the CLAMAV engine into the updater and executing it before the update of the CVD files. For this "idea" I would now like to be rewarded with $ 25 from Cisco. Edit Part 2: I also miss in the options "Monitor Network Connections" is this function removed or always ON now??? Immunet UI: The UI is very outdated, just right for a 14 "monitor with a resolution of 800x600, but with today's screens, over 40 you need a microscope . Thank You lastupd update.log
  5. If I should find out that there is a new version, I will surely take a look. Linux is complicated and the energy-saving functions are poorly implemented and don't appeal to me (as well as some other things). The update function of Windows 10 where I can no longer decide what to install and especially when, is an absolute NO GO. The only alternative would be to install the updates manually, but who wants that. So nothing will change on my Windows 7 in the near future and I think Immunet will probably no longer support 7 in the next release. Microsoft's policy bringings me one step closer to giving up computers and I've been thinking about buying an old mechanical typewriter for a long time. I hear people screaming again. "You are making the network insecure with your outdated Windows 7" "Your antivirus software hasn't been updated in a year? wtf" What can I say? ... #!@?, and I also use Android 2 and 4 on my smartphones. I also only updated my computers from XP to Windows 7 3 years ago. I also don't use a Corona app (bacause i dont drink), it only works with those who move with the times and waste resources. I don't carry this device around with me either, I don't need it, rather I'm forced to use this device if I want to use car sharing, for example. I'm all fed up with it. "S" & hit on it. If someone doesn't go along with that, he becomes an outsider and he is told he has to move with the times. In the history, too, people moved with the times and at a certain point it became a compulsion and it cost millions their lives. Yes, the comparison is a bit of a risk and a little inappropriateness, but I think in the future they will say, "Why did they do that". I don't want to discuss it either, it is not easy to go this way when you see the consequences of all steps and with each step it becomes more difficult to find solid ground in a withering world the closer you get to the "goal". I wish all readers a good day and stay healthy.
  6. By the way, I only took notice of this survey because Richtie wrote something elsewhere and then I stumbled across it by accident.
  7. I don't know what the bootstrapper is currently doing. Because I directly download the version that is shown to me via the update URL. Currently it would be 7.3.0.11792 but I don't feel like it ... never touch a running system ... Yes, it became quiet. EDIT: last post at Immunet Twitter page 22. Juli 2019 LOL That happens when a provider don't look into his forum for over a year, ignore customer emails and focus on apparently more important things. I think the current survey won't bring anything anymore, it comes at least 8 months too late and I assume that the plug will be pulled. Because nobody uses free software that doesn't work. Support for Windows 7 will definitely disappear. In this respect, it is of no interest to me to deal with it anyway. Immunet is so out of focus that print and online media are not interested in whether Immunet exists or whether it works or what is good. You can also see this in the fact that it is not tested in any AV Software test that I know of. In that sense, maybe see you. Maybe I'll stop by again in 5 months
  8. I support that 99,999% Jasen Dear Immunet_UX, please read the forum! please support your forum moderator! please tell the support that you are welcome to reply to e-mails! The Form is fillet out with my informations but please ask to ritchie because ritchie knows all important things and is our hero. I don't have high hopes, because Windows 7 ...
  9. Hi ritchie, very unfortunate to hear this. I'm still using version 7.02. I assume that the support has no idea about this problem or is ignoring it. At the moment I would be very happy if a well-known computer magazine would test and disembowel Immunet. So my hopes are rather low that a new release will work better. I don't even know which version is up-to-date because I haven't looked for an update for A long time ago... ... ... it has become quieter here ... it is probably because many are now using something different.
  10. Oh yes Ritchie, you are doing an excellent job.
  11. Are you getting paid for this job? I've been reading from your comments for some time that it frustrates you. If you don't get paid, you would quit as a moderator before it affects your health. Otherwise, it may be time to think about further training to expand your professional future. Have a nice day Frank
  12. It was not called PRO but PLUS and has not existed for years. https://web.archive.org/web/20150629232617/http://www.immunet.com/plus/a/index.html The last Immunet 7.3.0 (02.07.2030) has the same update problems on my computers and is still not using the current ClamAV engine. It is sad. Immunet was a beautiful and slim antivirus product without the ballast that other manufacturers use. If Cisco continues like this, then it would be better to end this project immediately. EOL
  13. Immunet Update does not work ClamAV is outdated Monitor Network Connections is removed from options Quarantine Behavior is removed from options No popup informations about virus detection, new updates, failed updates... i've also sent the update issue to Cisco support Two Weeks Later... no thank you, no reactions, no informations With Immunet 7.0.2 you had a really useful one and resource-saving antivirus software provided free of charge. In my opinion, the update to version 7.2.8 has made this product unusable and is now much more of a security problem. I have never seen anything like it in 30 years. Share the source code with the community, bury this project in your archives or whatever. I know it's free but it doesn't matter. Wikipedia told me how much profit you made, you also need something to make losses. I hope you do not use Immunet for this... https://blog.talosintelligence.com/2019/07/lets-destroy-democracy.html
  14. Thanks zombunny2 for your info to stop the service, i 've changed this in the scrips. It works also on W7. URL'S to check if a new version of Immunet is available. Only works if the entry is removed from the HOSTS file (update.immunet.com ). http://update.immunet.com/updates/protect/update-7.0.2-64.xml http://update.immunet.com/updates/protect/update-7.2.8-64.xml
  15. Yes, we're back to the old CPU cooling issue. The enemy of the CPU is temperature fluctuations. Cold, warm, hot ... up and down ... optimal cooling, which keeps the temperature constant at a certain value, would be the most pleasing to the CPU.
