sweidre
一个错误 中文版右键扫描偶尔 卡 假死 Chinese version of right a wrong card suspended animation occasionally sweep Hi Mike, I do not understand you completely, but you mention the word "animation", so maybe you mean the animated text: "1,290,043 people protected from 23,363,695 threats". This normally aninated text string is not changing at all. This issue has been reported to Anthony (admin), who gave the reply, that this is a minor bug of the counter only! The server works, and we are completely protected, that is the main thing! (Maybe I have now intepreted your issue completely wrong, why I am sorry for that!) Cheers, sweidre
sweidre
一个错误 中文版右键扫描偶尔 卡 假死 Chinese version of right a wrong card suspended animation occasionally sweep Hi mike again, 1. You have mentioned the words: Animation+Scan+Right 1a.) Do you mean the scan window itself?: Files scanned: Runs quickly, if it scans many short & simple files! Runs slowly, if the file is compressed or large! Threats detected: Hopefully = 0 all the time, if your computer is clean! Elapsed Time: Moves quickly second by second! Scanning: Shows one single file, if it is subject to examination during a long time (eg. a compressed file). If "Files scanned" is increasing very fast, but Scanning is unchanged, I think, that Immunet scans small files, so the Scanning shows the same file all the time. Reason, I thinkt, if Immunet scans small files quickly, the file name should just be visable a small fraction of a second, which will be annoying, because you have not time to read it anyhow! (This issue can be seen in other AV products as well!). So more important is to show the path to the file starting with the drive letter! 1b.) Do you mean Windows Explorer right- click facility (shell)?: This feature is shown in my Explorer, but scanning works not for me! Maybe the scanning is "hidden" or something? Cheers, sweidre PS. I have Immunet Eng v.3.0.1.6112 Free (Cloud-based only, ClamAV disabled, no Tetra) Win 7 Pro SP1 64-bit DS.
ritchie58
Or did you mean the right-click context menu scan feature? Your wording is indeed confusing.
minchaovip
Babelfish translates the chinese text as: "The Chinese version right key scanning card plays dead", which might mean that right click scanning doesn't work. yes
ritchie58
I think we are both correct in our assumptions edwin. The right-click menu scan isn't working with the Chinese version. Edit: mike posted before I posted this thread so now we are aware of the problem.

Hi Mike, Edwin, & Ritchie, I will correct myself, Windows Explorer right-click (context shell) works now to 100% for me: Immunet Protect -> Scan Now works visably for both files & directories! (Maybe, I had too many windows open the previous time, when I tested!) Cheers, sweidre PS. Mike, have you managed to upgrade to the current English version 3.0.1.6112 (I am referring to another thread of yours published todaty)? Maybe, the latest version will work better regarding right-click scanning? DS
ritchie58
Also to right-click scan Packed (compressed) or Archived files those settings have to be enabled in the "Scan Settings." If he is using an older version those features are not available to free users.

Hi Ritchie, In my Eng v.3.0.1.6112 Free (Cloud-based, no ClamAV or Tetra) the options: compressed or archived files are not available! (They exist in the Free version with ClamAV, though). Using my Cloud-based only version the Windows Explorer right-click (context shell) now works anyway! Cheers, sweidre PS. A little bit confusing with all the groups of options: 1. Immunet Type (Cloud-only, +ClamAV, and/or +Tetra) 2. Setting Alternatives (Options) OFF or ON, or non-existant. 3. Immunet Protect version numbers 4. Immunet Protect Language versions It will be a difficult task to create a tutorial/manual or FAQs. Bear in mind, there is an Enterprise version in the pipeline, as well! Rob.T
Sorry all, I haven't been able to get onto the forums to reply to this all morning. The right-click issue is a known bug, and I have requested it be adressed for 3.0.2.
