Community Problem 3.0.1.6112 Free

Recommended Posts

XP HOME SP3.

I sent a member an invitation to join my (WacoJohn) community. The next thing I know is I got an invitation from him to join HIS community .. and I accepted.

Now, .. I think there is a problem because when I view my community, there I am .. WacoJohn in the middle. Off from that are members of my community .. and HE is ONE of them.

There is a 'box' called INVITATIONS SENT and when I click on it, there is a line drawn to HIM with a question mark on it. So I show him AS a member as well as 'waiting' for him to BECOME a member.

Is this because I joined HIS community when I responded to his invitation, but HE has not responded to my invitation TO HIM? I don't know how it works, but what I am seeing within My Community does not seem right. I let him know in a private message .. and he said [EDITED FOR PRIVACY]:

"I have one WacoJohn with an US flag in My Community, good so far! According to your lines above, you have also me in your community.Good! So it is evident, that we both have each other in both communities!

The fact, that you still have me also on the list INVITATIONS SENT, there can be two reasons: 1.) The system has not yet removed "sweidre" from the list INVITATIONS SENT. 2.) Two invitations have by mistake been sent to me, so at the end you will have TWO mes as members. It does not matter, because I have in My Community duplicates of other members.

Regarding dublicates, I have already during the autumn 2010 told Immunet about duplicates, and they replied, that they (he) will fix all duplicates in all "My Communities" of all members, but I think he has forgotten about it."

So .. I guess I am posting this to remind DS .. please clean up community duplicates. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

These bugs were not typical for version 3.0.1.6112 Free only. These bugs were also noticed during the autumn 2010, but were not corrected! Here is an old thread from the beginning of December 2010:

"My Community (Sweidre) Chart, Box & List are all wrong!"

http://forum.immunet...ch__1#entry3068

This old thread discussed the calculation of protection factor, max. number of members in the chart, number of members in the right vertical list and above all: the issue of "duplicates". "Invitations sent" are not highlighted in this old thread, though! In my mind, all bugs (minor or major) should be corrected at the end, in order to give a good impression of Immunet. (Too many bugs -> Users will skip Immunet!)

Cheers,

sweidre

Hi,

Here are two old threads about Invitations sent:

1. "Community Defect?" (14 Nov 2010)

http://forum.immunet...ch__1#entry2693

(see 1st post of M.Richter)

2. "Remove Unanswered Inviations? And the tagging" (18 August 2010)

http://forum.immunet...ch__1#entry1332

A new question of mine:

In My Community I have 8 persons with PF = 0:

1. Alfred Huger

2. Charles Buck

3. Oliver Friedrichs

4. Pedersen

5. Matthias Richter

6. Denise

7. Adam J.O. Donnel

8. Mo

How do I delete members with PF =0? They are not contributing to my security at all!

Cheers,

sweidre

It is a bug of some kind. I am encountering this anomalous behavior with Robert's PC. An invitation was accepted by another user on his machine but the invitation keeps popping up even though it already has been accepted numerous times and is still showing as an Invitation Received in Robert's My Community.

So .. Immunet .. are you going to fix this anytime soon? I really don't want 'buggy' software on my machine. I REALLY don't.

Hi,

Proposal - Topic Status Matrix

I suggest, that the Immunet staff will really go thru all (fresh & old) threads (topics) of the forum and create & maintain an official matrix (in Excel or in a database software?), that will continually be updated with ticks in the appropiate field(s):

Field #01: Topic (thread or groups of similar threads = task)

Field #02: Urgent

Field #03: Important

Field #04: Nice to have (= maybe considered, if time admits!)

Field #05: Next version (this field will show ticked topics, that are planned to be fixed in the next version of Immunet)

Field #06: Undefined (= topics still under definition, discussion or not replied to by Immunet staff)

Field #07: Comments

Field #08: Be ignored (= unimportant topics or topics of only informative character)

Field #09: Fixed (= solved topics with date and/or Immunet version number)

By keeping this matrix frequently updated, it will serve as a current basis for the development of the Immunet product(s) with a rough time schedule for fixes. This matrix will ensure, that no issues will not be replied to or forgotten by Immunet. The frequently updated matrix will also serve as an important source of info for the members in the forum! The matrix should be maintained by Immunet staff and provided with its date of update.

Cheers,

sweidre

PS. Note, that, topics (threads) ticked in Field #08 : "Be ignored" can after a certain time be moved to a new forum category: "Archive", if nobody will resist! Topics (threads) ticked in Field #09: "Fixed" can after a certain time be moved to the forum category "FAQs" (with reformulating into Questions & Answers) and/or into "Archive"!DS
