millard@immunet.com
I'm seeing some real inconsistencies in Team Viewer start up. I have XP image without Immunet installed it's consistently taking over 2 minutes to run after install. Then I install Immunet and it seems to take a minute longer. However, when I do the same thing on Windows 7, the start up is in seconds. It's possible something is wrong with my XP image. There are some changes in the pipeline for 3.0.2: 1) We'll be setting a maintenance on the databases to try and not let them grow over 15MB. Sorry, there is no force clean-up of the databases, but we will be truncating them upon upgrade. For now you can: - Hide your IPTray - net stop immunetprotect - del %PROGRAMFILES%\Immunet\*.db (assuming you have installed in %PROGRAMFILES%\Immunet) - net start immunetprotect 2) We've addressed a file locking issue that people have reported with Firefox. It's quite possible the same thing is happening to you.
Guest Orlando
The programs done by Orlando Regarding Orlandos programs I am a bit hesitant. Once I downloaded a file (executable file) done by Orlando (described in another long thread). The file was qurantined by my Emsisoft Anti-Malware. Orlando said, that the file was clean, so I placed the file on the exclusion list of Emsisoft and restored the file from the quarantine of Emsisoft. What happend? Immediately Immunet qurantined the file. Orlando insisted, that the file was clean. Ok, I placed the file on the exclusion list of Immunet and restored the file, but then suddenly my computer crashed with a blue screen error. Fortunately, I had a fresh backup (Norton Ghost) of my systemdrive to go back to. First then, Orlando reported to several AVs/AMs (including Immunet) that his file is clean = false postive. In my mind, Orlando should have reported this much earlier! So, since then I am really hesitant to use Orlandos files. (I do not want to be a test-rabbit again!) Cheers, sweidre I have already responded you Sweidre about the inconvenience, I re-stress the problems that your 5/6 (I don't remember the real number) security shields went in conflict crashing the system. I know the programming language and certantly I won't post malware. Orlando
