sweidre
It's a bloody punkbuster anticheat file. It's impossible to attach the file since it hides like a rootkit. Hi Nordisch, I have just made a Google search on "Pnkbstrb.exe" and I received many hits: http://www.google.se...+p%C3%A5+Google There are many articles & videos about this file, which is related to games, but it seems, that fixing "Pnkbstrb.exe" error is depending on Operative System 32- or 64-bit. Unfortunately your post is missing those details! I understood, that the file is not normally malicious (spyware, adware etc.) but can hide anywhere in your computer. Have you a good search function in your OS? I have downloaded & installed Everything v.1.2.1.371 (freeware) from http://www.voidtools.com/ for searching in my computer! Have you got the file quarantined by Immunet or by another AV/AM? (Probably not!) If you can get hold of the file, compress it into a zip- or 7z- file and attach it to an email, that you'll send to support@samples.immunet.com , where the Immunet Analysis Team will within 2 hours send you a reply (infected or false postive) during US Mountain Time Mon-Fri 9-5. Automatically Immunet will also send the result of analysis to Immunet Cloud! Cheers, sweidre
Rob.T
Hi Nordisch, thanks for reporting this. Unfortunatly I haven't been able to get a copy of this file to whitelist it, however if you're installation of Immunet FP'ed on it I should be able to find the info I need in a support dump. Would you mind running Start -> Programs -> Immunet -> Support Diagnostic Tool? This will dump a support snapshot file on your desktop with a name like Immunet_Support_Tool_[datetime stamp].7z. If you could you please email this support dump to support@immunet.com with the subject "For RobT: forum thread 1085" I'll get it whitelisted right away. Rob.T
Thank you Nordish - I have whitelisted PnkBstrB.exe so Immunet won't detect it as malicious anymore.
