malhunt
Hello After installing a D-Link wireless usb adapter, I noticed a large amount of I/O reads and I/O writes coming from agent.exe. The result was a sluggish PC. I added the folders "C:\program files\ANI" and "C:\program files\D-Link" to the exclusion list, and computer's performance was improved significantly. However, agent.exe still accesses the disk much more (millions I/O operations) as compared to other processes (thousands I/O operations). I don't know if this is expected. System: Windows XP SP3, 1GB ram Latest version of Immunet free with Clam enabled and no other security program running.

Hi malhunt, "High Disk Activity Caused by Agent.exe" has been discussed in & out in another forum thread here: "Agent.exe Constantly Writing To Disk After Scheduled Scan" http://forum.immunet..._5919#entry5919 Cheers, sweidre PS. Thanks for your contributing input in this strange matter! DS
Rob.T
Very interesing Malhunt - I would venture to guess that your wireless adapter is writing temp files to disk, and Immunet is scanning every one. We just released a 3.0.2 beta that might help though. If you want to give it a try it can be found here: http://forum.immunet.com/index.php?/topic/1104-immunet-302-beta-available/
