Hi,

I've been trying immunet plus for almost half month,it runs smooth and works well, but i think it would be better that add proactive protection since virus getting more sophisticated and more variable for troditional AV engines to detect.

There are lots of famous security products adds behavior control more or less and i think it will be a good make up for the immnet free edition when offline, maybe you guys would get some ideas from AVG Identity Protection which i think is easy to use and helpful.

Anyway hope immunet get better:)

Cheers

They should put Behavior Blocker in 2.1 or 2.5. :-)

Cheers,

Armin.

I recently forked over the $20 to add the Identity Protection component to my AVG 9 Free installation. The technology was acquired by AVG when they purchased Sana Security last year. Time will tell if it works for me.

In the meantime, if one is looking for a BB/HIPS solution the highly acclaimed Spy Shelter application now has a free version, but 32 bit only. I ran it for a while alongside the Immunet 2 Pro RC1 and RC2 with no apparent problems. I'd be running it if I didn't have Zemana.

Mature, I have some months ago talked with a Employee about Behavior Blocker. They will add a Behavior Blocker in some version(2.1, 2.5) But for now, Immunet needs to be bug fixed.

In the mean time, post all your ideas, I will talk with Alfred Huger about it, and he will see it with the Company.

Cheers,

Armin.

Hi,

I have to report my best experiences with "Mamutu", the very efficient behaviour blocker by emsisoft (www.emsisoft.com). It runs very very fine with Immunet free an gives me a second layer of security.

Emsisoft is a comparable company to Immunet, small, virtual office all over the world, but with "lighthouse" security solutions. Why not kick off the tremendous heavy weight TETRA and integrate Mamutu, together a modern lightweight security solution with one layer on signatures by cloud and another one by a very strong behaviour blocker (Malware-IDS).

If they integrate in both directions Emsisoft can offer "Mamutu Cloud" and Immunet "Immunet Mamutu" or "Immunet IDS". Could be a very effective couple and could increase the business of both companies...

Think it over...

Senge, I heard Mamutu has many false positives, is it true?

Hi Armin,

you are right, related to the first time after releasing Mamutu. Meanwhile Emsisoft increased the performance, built in a community-based alarm reduction, and the result in my experience is, NOT ONE F/P within two years running it. Same to many friends using Mamutu.

Best wishes

My votes goes to Threatfire (Cyberhawk many years back)I run it alongside Emisofts security suite with Mamutu, my experience is that Threatfire is far more accurate and effective. Maybe because its been around for many years now and have matured? And of course it is free....

Hi Woodrow,

nice to see you here in the new forum

I run Threatfire for a while and it seemed to be very accurate indeed, but I felt, it slowed down my nettop (Atom with 1 GB RAM), so went back to Mamutu. Perhaps I should test Threatfire again in the latest version...

Thanks for your incitement.

I really think Threatfire suck... My level was 4 or 3. And then it caught malicous behavior when I tried to uninstall a program....

Well~acturally i like classic HIPS more, but it's a little bit difficult for most people to handle that,so i suggest intelligent behavior block.

Even if Immunet had a Behavior Blocker... After some weeks or months some virus makers will spot this, and make the Virus NOT be caught by Behavior Blocker.

That's true...but it takes only few hours even few minutes virus could get immunity against anti-virus of course including Immunet, what behavior do is raising the cost for hackers rewrite their malicious code.
