Freshclam.exe Keeps Eating Up About 40% Of Cpu For Very Long Periods Of Time

Recommended Posts

Using the Immunet 3.0.1.6112 on WinXP. The freshclam.exe process keeps on consuming my cpu resources for very long periods of time. Actually until I shut my pc down. Tried to find any solution to my problem googling, but found none. Any ideas?

Reading from the update.log I guess it's this issue "WARNING: cannot write to pipe (232)". I used the Immunet Protect Fix Tool. Cleaned History, Emptied Quarantine, deleted TETRA (i have the free version), Cleaned Avast Temp and for now it seems that it's ok. Still don't know what caused the problem.

I have the same problem. The CPU consumes >80%.

I have to go into Services and close down Immunet to stop this.

Trying to stop the processes does not work as this is not allowed.

I have attached the update file. This is just a sample of the 1400 page log!!

I need your urgent help

Hi,

Open a CMD as Administrator and type:

net stop immunetprotect

wait...

taskkill /f /im iptray.exe

taskkill /f /im agent.exe

wait...

net start immunetprotect

wait...

and open the program, check if your firewall is blocking Immunet to connect to the internet, please send also the PDF and the file created by the System Diagnostic Tool to support at immunet dot com
