gefox001
Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to display the path of a file when displaying potential virus messages? Just the file name and virus type are not enough to make a educated guess if the file detected should be quarintined. Thanks, George
Sean Hutton
Hi guys I have been quarentining, but this morning I noticed that I had an opton to 'delete from quarentine' (other choice was 'restore') five files identified as Trojans which had been quarentined - was I right in doing this? The 'unsafe' sign disappeared, but I am wondering if the files were deleted altogether or whether I was just activating them again. Grateful for any advice on this. ritchie58
If you delete a file from quarantine then that file is deleted from your system. If you use the restore from quarantine feature then what Immunet does is automatically add that file to the "Exclusion List" and will no longer be scanned. It's best to use restore only if you're "absolutely positive" that the file in question is a legitimate false positive. Otherwise you could be giving malware free reign over your system. When in doubt check it out! I agree with you George, a more detailed file path would be more helpful.
Rob.T
Thanks guys, the detailed filepath enhancement is on our todo list. In the meantime theworkaround is to open the history, select the Quarantine File History, and click on the filename. The path will be displayed on the right (unfortunatly this path is not copy/paste'able, this is also on our future enhancements list).
