No Malwares Found!

Hi,

I have installed Immunet since 5 July 2010, and no malwares have been found, so far! Are my other protection softwares: ESET NOD32 Anti-Virus, Emsi-Anti-Malware, Zemana AntiLogger, ZoneAlarm Pro (firewall) and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Pro enough? Is Immunet or are the other softwares redundant?

Can anybody overhaul me with "fake" malwares to test the efficiency of Immunet, when the other softwares are disabled?

Cheers,

sweidre

Hi sweidre,

Immunet protect is an excellent product, fast and safe, but a great improvement in the cloud would not be bad because this is the weak point (in my opinion) to Immunet protect. Mainly it protects you from zero-day malware and or those new and unknown malware, I use Immunet this merges with a firewall and not with another virus as a virus if you take will certainly be new and not old and it will in Immunet database. However, if you want to test its effectiveness, you can try to download this file at this address: http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm and down downloading the file after you disable all your security programs (except Immunet). The file will be blocked as a virus and is a tester for antivirus.

Immunet needs help from the Community, by fixing bugs, security holes etc.

BUT... I would'nt use the PLUS version YET! Or the FREE without any assisting antivirus. Remember, Immunet is new and needs alot of work still. In the future, IMP will be given a WebGuard, Anti-Spam(I think), Zero-Day/Zero-Hour Engine.

Cheers,

Armin.

To test or if you are already at risk or that much browse I suggest you Immunet with another antivirus. But if you're common user or just use the computer I suggest you take Immunet alone. I am a user who surfs a lot and risk a lot and keep only Immunet (with Comodo Firewall), but the best antivirus is the intelligence of the user or the person himself must recognize the reliability of a file and decide to run or not. If a person is not as experienced or did not touch in this area then you must support with another antivirus.

such you can say for every product :-)

in my own tests it was most 80 for newer malware and 95 for mixed sample set and i think this is ok

i think its a new project, this project needs users and more sources to get more malware. but i think this will be better how longer this programm is on the marked.
