Phippy
I haven't found anything specifically regarding this, can the free version be used freely in a university environment? Thanks for your help.
ritchie58
I know that a lot of college campuses and universities use a internet proxy service. Does yours? Immunet will not function properly through a proxy server.
Phippy
I know that a lot of college campuses and universities use a internet proxy service. Does yours? Immunet will not function properly through a proxy server. Thanks for replaying. We do not use a proxy, but I was thinking more in terms of can we legally use it freely on campus? Sometimes the free version of virus/spyware is only free to individual home users, not a university environment.
ritchie58
Sourcefire is now in the process of alpha/beta testing an Enterprise version of Immunet Protect which will work within a networked, server based environment. They are looking for alpha/beta testers for this. You can read more about this in the "Announcements" section of this forum. I may be wrong on this but there was talk of releasing a free version once beta testing is done. If your not looking for an enterprise based AV solution and just want to use the current free version I suggest you submit your legality questions directly at support@immunet.com if an administrator doesn't respond here. Regards, Ritchie...
