Immunet scan with cloud storage files

Recommended Posts

I use a couple cloud storage services like OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.  The cloud storage services now allow for your files to be visible on your computer but only be downloaded on demand.  It makes it nice to save space on your drive when space is limited.

After running a scan with Immunet I noticed my drive space was rapidly filling up.  My files were being downloaded so Immunet could scan them.  Is there a way to fix this, or make it an option to only scan the downloaded files?  Luckily I had stopped it, so it only downloaded about 200GB.

This for me is the only reason I can't use Immunet, which is a shame it's so light wight on resources, it makes it very wonderful as a second opinion AV client. Most other Antivirus products I have tried don't download those files inside the cloud storage.

I am mostly checking to see if someone has run across this, or if anyone knows of an easy fix.  Also would love to see if this can be added as a feature to toggle downloading vs not downloading files in cloud storage.

No, I can't recall anyone else reporting a similar issue like this to be honest.

Have you tried to create 'custom exclusion rules' for both OneDrive & Dropbox's 'entire Program Files folder' directories with Immunet? If not, give that a try to see if that corrects the issue.
