sweidre
Please can you unblock a crucial and very well known software: News Publisher available at: http://products.soft...isher/index.htm and http://products.soft...isher_setup.exe I use it very often but I can not use it now because it is being detected as false-positive by the Immunet anti-virus software. Please un-block it. Hi Ankit, Is the file quarantined by Immunet? If you click on the file in the left pane of the qurantine, you will see the whole path to the file in the right pane. Memorize the path or write it down on a slip of paper, because copy & paste function is not yet developed for that pane. Then you should send an email to to support@immunet.com with the file compressed into a .zip-file or a .7z-file as an attachment to the email. In the email you should write some info about the file as the path to the file, what program the file belongs to and the webaddress from where you downloaded it. After a few days, when Immunet has analyzed the file, you will get an email report from Immunet stating if the file is a malware or false postive. If it is found to be an FP (false positive) Immunet will automatically then report to the cloud, that the file is a an FP. That file then will never be qurantined any more for any user of Immunet. The analysis by Immunet can take some time, so if you need the file immediately and if you are sure, that the file is an FP, you can then click on the "restore"- button to restore the file to its original location. If you have the latest version of Immunet 3.0.4.7241, Immunet will then automatically add the file & its path to the exclusion list of Immunet in your computer only! If you have an older version of Immunet you must manually add it to the exclusionlist: Product -> Settings -> Protection Exclusions -> Add New Exclusions. Otherwise Immunet will quarantine the file again. Anyhow, do not forget to send the email to Immunet with the compressed file attached. The result of the analysis benefits all Immunet users via the common "cloud". Cheers, sweidre

kstephen
Message received working on the long term fix. Stephen Sourcefire - Immunet Support Hi Ankit, As stated in my email to you... Could you email me the Support Diagnostic File Start --> All Programs --> Immunet 3.0 --> Support Diagnostic File It will create a .7Z file on your desktop that has all your Immunet related logs. I was able to install News Publisher and it did not come up malicious for me. The .exe file did not come up malicious as well, I'll need to check your logs to see what happened to you.
