jimwest
After working well for a few weeks, suddenly it tells me that it cannot connect to the Internet. All this while I AM connected, and sending and receiving emails, etc.
jimwest
Just noticed that HISTORY lists dozens of files apparently found this morning after first turning computer on. I have been receiving the "can't connect" for at least last 4 days now. Yet still when I click on SCAN NOW, I still get "can't connect and can't scan". ritchie58
The first thing to check is make sure agent.exe and iptray.exe is not being blocked by some other security software you may have, such as your firewall or any other anti-malware package you may have installed. If nothing is blocking these processes and you use a non-English version you could try uninstalling and installing an earlier version. That has helped a few users that has run into this problem before. Here is a link to a previous post that has installers for the older 3.0.3.6870 version. This older version may not have your native language included so you may have to use the English language strings. If on the other hand you use the English version and find that the agent and iptray processes are not being blocked I would encourage you to send a diagnostic report by clicking Start > All Programs > scroll down to the Immunet 3.0 folder and click on that > Click on Support Diagnostic Tool. This will create a zip file to your desktop. Upload the zip file as an attachment , a detailed explanation of what's occurring and any screenshots then email this to support@immunt.com. Regards, Ritchie...

I know there were some bug fixes in 3.0.5 (http://forum.immunet.com/index.php?/topic/1434-immunet-305-beta-available/) and I know one was related to connectivity. Would you please give that a try. jimwest
Removed version 3.0.4.7241 and downloaded and installed latest from your link above. I was able to download and install a definition update, but still get the "you are not connected to the Internet" when I try to scan. Free version. jimwest
Just got the reply from Ritchie58. It all worked fine last week, and I have not installed or changed anything since. Actually I haven't even run any virus checks or malware checks for more than a week.

ritchie58
Hi Millard, I had thought about mentioning the 3.0.5 version to jimwest but I wasn't sure about that since it's still in beta.
millard@immunet.com
Hi Millard, I had thought about mentioning the 3.0.5 version to jimwest but I wasn't sure about that since it's still in beta. The one bug I was thinking of was a flapping cloud connection that seemed to occur during failover of between the UDP and TCP cloud protocol connections. It seems to be only some people's computers and even this it wasn't very predictable, so 3.0.5 there is a lot of tearing down connections if we fail to connect more than X times (I think X is 3). If this is the case, it's a great candidate for the Beta version.
