Rob.T
Hi everyone, the Immunet 3.0.5.7515 is now available! The installer below can be used for new installations and upgrades from all prior 2.x.x and 3.0.x versions: http://download.immunet.com/push/immunet/ImmunetSetup.exe As you may have already heard we are working very hard towards our upcoming Enterprise product, and we have good news - we have not forgotten out consumer users and are incorporating many of our new Enterprise features back into the Consumer version of our product: * Cloud engines now perform much more thorough scanning of PDF, SWF, and MS Office documents. These types of files are used extensively to spread macro virus` and trojan horse type malware, and we've come up with a much better way to scan them than was possible in previous versions. * Compatibility updates. We've made a few changes to help us improve compatibility when running applications that deal with large files, such as bit torrent clients, VMware images, photoshop/photo-editing software, etc. * Bug fixes & enhancements to our installer as we begin laying the ground work to upgrade 1.0 users into directly to 3.0.5. * Performance updates! ritchie58
Has the My Community feature been disabled with this build? I can't log into my account. It says an unexpected failure has occurred. I even tried to change my password twice with the same results. Sorry about the redundancy but I did post a similar thread in the Issues/Defects section. Inquiring minds want to know, lol!
Dazzard
I'm wondering.....with the final version of Immunet.. What engines are used Immunet on this new version...?
ritchie58
Hello Dazzard, first there is two cloud based detection engines. ETHOS - this is a heuristic based engine and SPERO - this engine uses data collected from the Immunet community. Then there is the Clam AV engine which is more like a traditional AV that stores signatures on your HDD for offline scanning. If you have the Plus (paid) version then you also get the TETRA engine which is also a traditional AV but has the ability to detect rootkits and other complex forms of malware. I hope this answers your question. Regards, Ritchie...

ritchie58
If I ran into that situation here's what I'd try and do. First temporary disable any companion anti-virus if you're using one and then manually uninstall first. Click on Control Panel > click on Programs and Features > right click on the Immunet Icon in the list and uninstall. When the uninstaller asks if you are going to reinstall click on no. You will loose your previous settings and exclusions this way but you will get a clean uninstall. After the uninstall is completed then run the 3.0.5 installer. Please note that Immunet's installer needs an uninterpretable internet connection to download and install the files. After installation and a reboot turn on your other AV if you have one and exclude each others Program Files folder in their respective Exclusion Lists. Immunet's is: C:\Program Files\Immunet\
coliny
I tried to run the uninstaller but it stops at 'cleanup agent'. Looks like same problem agent.exe loads but does not run. No other AV program installed.
ritchie58
That is strange. You could try Immunet's Removal Tool. The instructions and download page are included in that link. That tool has worked for other users that have run into problems with the uninstall process. If you have problems with the removal tool you could also try Revo Uninstaller Pro.
