ritchie58
I'm just wondering if anyone else is seeing this. Please post a thread if you can't log in too. After upgrading to 3.0.5.7515 from the beta version I can no longer access My Community with my account information even though My Community worked with the 3.0.5.7512 beta version. I even tried to change my password twice with no results. Even tried uninstalling and then doing a completely clean install by saying no to saving my previous settings. I get an error message saying: An unexpected failure has occurred. If it has been permanently disabled by the Immunet/SourceFire staff I suppose I could learn to live without it but it was/is (which ever the case may be) a cool feature of Immunet. If it has been disabled then why is it still included in the GUI? If it hasn't been disabled is it a problem on my end or a server problem? I know there was talk of getting rid of it because of the problems/bugs associated with My Community.

asdlinux
I also have this problem ... and also 2 of my friends that recently created an account ... how to fix this ? Regards, Magnus
ritchie58
Hi asdlinux, obliviously this is not an isolated incident but rest assured that being unable to access your "My Community" account does not diminish your malware detection capabilities with Immunet Protect. You're still being protected by both the ETHOS and SPERO cloud engines, the ClamAV module, if you have that enabled, and the TETRA engine for the Plus users. RobT did mention that he's looking into this so perhaps now that other users a coming forward with the same problem it just might get a little higher priority. Please check back to this topic for any developments. Best wishes, Ritchie...
Rob.T
I've been able to confirm it's a bug with new 3.0.5 installs... Working on a fix now.
Rob.T
A fix for the My Community issue has been released in v3.0.5.7552 and is available through the Immunet download page, or here: http://download.immunet.com/push/immunet/ImmunetSetup.exe This bug only affected the My Community feature in 3.0.5.7515; overall AV protection and other features were not impacted. If you are using v7552 and would like to use the the My Community feature we recommend reinstalling by first uninstalling through the Programs & Features (Add/Remove Programs in XP) control panel icon, answering yes when asked if you plan to re-install Immunet, then installing with 7552 from the link above. ritchie58
Excellent news RobT! Thanks for fixing the bug in the 3.0.5.7515 installer. I will uninstall and upgrade to the 3.0.5.7552 version and see how it goes right now. Edit: Yup, that did the trick! After installation and restarting I was able to log into my account but if I clicked off of My Community and then clicked back in I got the Register or Sign In with an existing account window even though I was already logged in. However I did a quick junk file & registry cleaning, defragged the HDD and then rebooted the OS and that seemed to correct that. It's working as it always did now! Way to go!
