Since 3.0.5 Version Get Waiting For Cache When Monitor Program Install Is On

Hi Bruce2, You could try and put Chrome's Temporary Internet Cache file into Immunet's Exclusion List. The file path for Win. Vista & 7 is: C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\UserData\Default\Cache or for XP it is: C:\Documents and Settings\NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache Then try re-enabling Monitor Program Install. By keeping this disabled you lose some of the protection that Immunet provides you. Also any time you wish to view what's in your Cache file just type "about:cache" in your address bar to view a list of all files in Chrome's cache.

I just tried the exclusion and it did not work. I still get the waiting for cache message that really slows down the URL Loading..

The exclusion worked in Chrome and Dragon. I take it that this will reduce the protection for program installs..I think i have a slowdown in IE8 and Maxthon Browser also but don't get a waiting for cache message but a waiting for.. other stuff..messages. Do you thing they need a exclusion too..

During beta testing of 3.0.5 a fellow tester ran into a similar problem with his Opera browser. Immunet must be scanning the Cache file at the same time the browser is writing to it causing the slow down. That would be my extrapolation anyway. I use Mozilla Firefox and for some reason I don't see this happening with my default browser.

That is good to know thanks for the info..I stopped using Panda Cloud Free because Chrome was running slow even though i did not get..waiting for cache..message. I used the same Cache File Exclusion in Panda and now Chrome runs good with Panda also. I am now running Panda and Immunet Protect together without any problems. Has Panda Cloud Free been tested for conflicts with Immunit Protect..

I use Panda Cloud and Immunet together too! They are compatible but just to be on the safe side add each AV's Program Files folder into their respective Exclusion List just to avoid any possible future conflicts. That's what I have done and they work great together. Regards, Ritchie...

I had to use this exclusion in Immunet Protect and Panda Cloud to get Maxthon Browser to run fast as usual. It looks like Chrome Webkit based Browsers are not compatable with some or all Cloud Antivirus's. Immunet should have in setup maybe to checkoff if you are using a incompatable browser then the exclusion will be made during setup or have a way in GUI to select your Browser Option. I have W7 64 bit and this is the Exception i used C:\Users\bruce\AppData\Local\Temp\Maxthon3Cache\Temp\Webkit\Cache\ Maxthon is the most popular browser in China..

Hi Bruce2, I,m sure the Immunet development team will look into this further because excluding those Temporary Internet Cache files is not an entirely good thing to do. Those files can be used as an entry point for malware. Perhaps under these circumstances it would be a good idea to run malware scans a little more often. I'm sorry to say that I'm not familiar with the Maxthon Browser. I like Firefox but it too gives me it's fair share of troubles.

I know excluding these cache files is not good that's why i run CISP..Comodo Internet Security with Hips along with my 2 Cloud A/V's. If i did not have to exclude these cache files then i would turn off the A/V part of CISP and just run the F/W and Defense+ parts. Panda and Immunet must have lost a lot of customers and money when people using chrome.. dragon and maxthon stop using these cloud A/V's because the browsers are not compatable..

Just as an experiment I excluded Firefox's cache files with Immunet located at this Windows 7 file path: C:\Users\Ritchie\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles The Profiles folder contains the cache files that FF uses. I did indeed notice an unmistakeable improvement in web page load time. So my first impression that FF was not affected by this was incorrect. Also I downloaded and installed Google Chrome today and have been putting it through it's paces. I see what you're talking about Bruce2. With Chrome's cache files excluded from Immunet you rarely get that little popup saying: Waiting for cache. I didn't notice a "drastic" change in web page load time with my machine however. Just a very slight improvement. The biggest speed improvement was with Firefox actually! I think this issue really does need closer scrutiny by the immunet programmers!

Thanks for the post Richie58 and letting me know. I have my browsers pinned to the taskbar..When i would launch them from there i saw a big slowdown it seems starting with the 3.0.5. update running Immunet and Panda Cloud together with chrome dragon and max browsers. With Panda Cloud i don't thing i got the ..waiting for cache popup..but chrome launched a lot quicker when i excluded the chrome cache file in Panda Cloud when Immunet was turned off to test it out..

Perhaps then Bruce I should follow your lead and experiment a little bit more and add the exclusions with Panda Cloud as well to see if any further noticeable improvements occur. If so I'll post back here my results. Thanks for reminding me that you also did that with Panda.

With Immunet and Panda Cloud Free excluding my chrome dragon and max cache files i might still be protected by my comodo F/W and Defense+ Hips which i have set to block any any unknown exe from getting into memory or registry or system files or anywhere else and make any changes and works without seemingly any slowdown or conflicts with any apps..Using CISP with the A/V enabled does not seem to cause much of a slowdown but i have it disabled now hoping the Defense+ Hips part will stop any changes..Just in case i made exclusions in Immunet, Panda and Comodo to exclude each other..

Good point Burce2. I think the behavior blocking ability of Defense+ and Emsisoft's Mamutu (another behavior blocker) which I also use will not leave those cache files completely defenseless. For me though I tried excluding those files with Panda but didn't see any real discernible difference in speed afterward. So I deleted the exclusions I had made with Panda which will provide a little more protection for those files as well I would assume.
