Hi. When I am installing the free version the PC will get the "blue screen" right when it says it is installing the "TRUFOS" part saying

"your PC was shut down to protect windows" and then it restarts and says it will report the issue to MS and let me know when a solution becomes available.

This is on 7 Pro 64 bit. I am also running Norton Security Suite verion 5.1.0.29. Any Ideas?. I tried searching a bit but no info and thee is no support from Immunet unless you purcashe their plus version.

It may be possible that your system is infected with malware. A lot of malware will prevent you from installing new anti-malware/anti-virus packages. I would suggest that you do a complete (full) scan of all your drives with Norton, with the latest definition updates installed, to find out. Post back here and let us know the results. If you're not infected it could be the installer didn't download properly, it could be a compatibility issue with Norton's new security suite or Norton, or some other security program you may have, blocked the install but the first thing to do is make sure you're not infected with something. After that there's a few things we can try. Regards, Ritchie...

I did like you both have said. stil same issue.. FYI I also have IP installed on another PC with Norton and it works fine. I used to have it on this one too but then something happened. I was using SPYWARE TERMINATOR..Uninstalled it and installed SUPERANTISPYWARE in case it was ST. Maybe Superantispyware isnt compatable as well though. I have another windows installation on the same PC and the same thing happens in it.. I am using the MS Security essentilals on that and no other ani-spyware programs. It has to be something that is common to both WIN 7's I have. Let me know what we can do from here. Thanks

Ok, a few things:

1) Can you check if c:\program files\immunet exists? If it does please try and delete it.

2) Start -> search all programs and files -> enter "%temp%" (without quotes, with percent symbols). Windows explorer will open to your current temp data path (something like C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp). Look for a file called immpro_install.log and delete it if it exists.

3) Download http://download.immunet.com/push/immunet/ImmunetSetup.exe and http://download.immunet.com/binaries/immunet/bin/protect-en-us-latest-64.exe. These are Immunet's installers (for 64bit). Try scanning both of them with each of your AV products and see if there are any detections.

4) Disable all your other AV programs (MS Security Essentials, superantispyware, and Norton)

5) Now try installing Immunet

6) If Immunet crashes again, open the %temp% dir again, and see if it contains a new immpro_install.log - if it does please email this file to me at support@immunet.com with the subject "For RobT: forum thread 1513" and I'll take a look at it.
