Sjoeii
Hi I uninstalled Immunet and wanted to test something with another AV. This AV told me I couldn't install because I have Clam AV installed, which I haven't. This means Immunet didn't uninstall correctly. How can I remove all?? Guest orlando
Hi I uninstalled Immunet and wanted to test something with another AV. This AV told me I couldn't install because I have Clam AV installed, which I haven't. This means Immunet didn't uninstall correctly. How can I remove all?? Still there is no uninstall correctly. It 'happened to me when I installed Kaspersky 2011. One of the solutions is to make a registry cleaner and do a clean unnecessary files (Ccleaner Board). However expect a response from the moderators, as I have still not resolved. Orlando

sweidre
Hi Sjoeli, 1.) You need first to choose a Registry Cleaner: ( Freewares: eg. Glary Utilities, Wise Registry Cleaner, WinUtilities; Sharewares: eg Registry Mechanic, USD 19.95?) I have them all four installed. Of those I trust Registry Mechanic most! 2.) Download and install the choosen Registry Cleaner 3.) Download and install Ccleaner (freeware) 4.) Search for files on system drive (normally c:\) , that contains the word "immunet" and have them deleted! 5.) Run the installed Ccleaner 6.) Run your installed Registry Cleaner Provided, that you have installed a good Registry Cleaner, everything should now be cleaned up, so that you can install Immunet again! (For the future: Install Revo Uninstaller (freeware). It uninstalls all(?) registry items and still existing files of the software, that should be uninstalled! Revo Uninstaller can not help you now, but it will help you next time you will uninstall a software) Note!: The most important thing for the moment for you is the selection of Registry Cleaner! Maybe somebody else can give you a hint of a very good freeware Registry Cleaner? The crucial thing now is a reliable Registry Cleaner! Good Luck! sweidre
iTrendsNET
I've never experienced any problems uninstalling Immunet or ClamAV. My recommendation would be that you first reinstall the program and then try a normal uninstall again. If that does not work, rather than a registry cleaner, grab the free version of Revo Uninstaller, which firsts fantastic for uninstalling stuborn programs. The uninstaller works well and everything else. The problem is that some remaining files and registry keys that the programs you listed sweidre may not work. It takes a manual removal. You have to open regedit: start-> run-> regedit and here we must find and delete keys containing Immunet. Then you must do the same with the files, over to find them one by one and then delete them. I'm working on a program Unistaller working and private, in the end I propose to free part of the administrative. PS: We do everything by hand. sweidre
Hi Sjoeli, It seems, that you have got stuck! Cleaning of folders & files Have you via "Start"- button in the bottom left corner of your screen selected "Search" -> "All files and folders" and written "immunet" (without quote signs) in the field and then Search in "C:" (I assume you have your system & programs on the C-disk). All folders and all files named "Immunet" should then have been listed for deletion. Those files and folders can safely be deleted, unless they belong to a directory called "shared". Registry Cleaning I think, that is not advisable to edit the registry yourself, because you must be an expert to do this! As I said before, I am using Registry Mechanic for cleaning my registry, because I will not manipulate the registry on my own. I checked on CNET.download.com, that Registry Mechanic 9 costs USD 29.95 per year. There is a sort of Free to try (First 6 sections repairing tial), but I doubt that this trial can be used. Dear Sjoeli, I cannot help you further and it seems that almost nobody is visiting this Forum right now! You must wait for help from an administrator! Cheers, sweidre

millard@immunet.com
Still no help I see? If you've searched your registry, removed %PROGRAMFILES%\Immunet Protect, %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Immunet, and %USERPROFILE%\appdata\local\immunet then you should everything. The only thing that might be left is drivers. You can check that by opening a command-line as an administrator and running fltmc. These become a little more difficult to clean up, but you can try fltmc unload and then delete the corresponding file from %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32\Drivers. The best approach is to ask the other AV Vendor, what they're looking for that is preventing you from installing. --Millard

It says to remove it manually. Regards, Orlando
