Free Antivirus

Hello shikhak, most major antivirus vendors do offer both a paid and free version of their product. However in most cases, if not all, free versions have some feature(s) disabled limiting their complete functionality as an incentive to purchase the paid version of course. One distinctive advantage with Immunet Free is it's compatibility! That is, it's ability to be a "companion" AV to other major AV's free versions and most paid versions as well. Immunet runs great along side such antivirus packages as AVG, Avira Antivir. Avast!, Comodo Internet Security, Kaspersky and Microsoft Security Essentials to name a few! With this combination you get an added layer of protection for your PC. Just put each AV's Program Files folder in each others Exclusion Lists and everything should run smoothly. In fact by default some popular AV's Program Files are already in Immunet's Exclusion List when you install. I personally run Immunet Free (ClamAV enabled) with Panda Cloud Pro but it will also work with the free Panda Cloud version too. For rootkit scanning I use Kaspersky's TDSSKiller. The Plus users of Immunet have the TETRA module which takes care of rootkit detection. As an on demand scanner I would always recommend having the free version of Malwarebytes installed. Malwarebytes is great at getting rid of a stubborn and hard to delete infection. It's very good at cleaning an already infected machine too which I will discuss in your other forum topic you posted regarding an infection you have. Regards, Ritchie...
