Free Immunet Offline Installer Availability ?

Recommended Posts

I already use ClamAV for some Linux computers on an offline network. I have some Windows computers too on this network. I would like to use the free version of Immunet on Windows and I would like to keep the version up-to-date.

Do you plan to publish an full offline installer of Immunet in the future ?

Is there a easy way to legally download the full offline installer from the published bootstrap installer ?

Thanks.

Hello christophe, I don't think there is an off-line installer for the newest version. If I'm wrong perhaps an Administrator can correct me on that. You do have the option of contacting Support (support@immunet.com) about the issue. From an older thread there is installers for an older 3.0.3.6870 version. I don't know if you would want to use an older version but here are the installers. 32bit - http://download.immu...-tcp-policy.exe

64bit - http://download.immu...-tcp-policy.exe Here's something you could do. You could post a new topic in the "Ideas" section of the forum regarding including an off-line and a bootstrapper installer for new versions. That just might help shine some light on this issue. As the older installers show you aren't the first one to require an off-line installer. Regards, Ritchie...

As I was in vacation and offline, I can't thank you earlier for your answers, Ritchie and Chipo.

I had not understand earlier that Immunet Free powered by ClamAV ... could only work online (using the Immunet cloud) as described by http://www.immunet.com/plus/compare/index.html .

So, the offline installer for Immunet Free is no longer needed. I probably have to use ClamWin instead.

Regards.

Hi christophe, regardless of which AV you choose to use it would still be important to go online and update it on a regular basis since new threats are constantly emerging. An out of date AV is not worth a plug nickel in my opinion. There are some AV's that you could download the latest definitions from another computer, upload that to a USB jump drive, transfer that to the other off-line computer and then update manually. Avira Antivir has that capacity. I've never used ClamWin so I don't know if that's possible with that AV. My thoughts for what their worth. Best wishes, Ritchie...
