To Balloon Tip Or Not To Balloon Tip.

I am not wild about balloon tips. But I had become used to and began to welcome the nearly every hour balloon tip announcing the update of the Tetra definition in 2.0.11.3.

 

I see now they're gone in 14.91 which is by design according to the change log, "Decreasing the number of balloon pop-up messages."

 

I am hoping you might consider my request to add an update notification like presented by Cloud and/or Verbose notifications.

 

In looking at the date/time stamps of the Tetra files, it seems the updates are no longer occurring hourly. Has the interval been changed?

Sometimes balloon tips can be annoying popups! I prefer to use cursor hovering instead! For the moment cursor hovering over the Immunet icon in the System Tray only gives the info: "Immunet Protect". Cursor hovering should be further developed to give more info needed. In case of error, a popup, icon turning color or shaking should be accepted as a warning, though! But the very best is to have customized settings, so that anybody can select in accordance with his/her own liking!

In my opinion, it should set your antivirus each of one would like, we should exercise three types of basic configurations:

 

Inexperienced user

 

average user

 

experienced user

 

and every setting should be different.

I've added your request and agree that some people may like the notifications. It helps my testing too :-)

 

I am concerned about your comment definitions running hourly. One of the Plus performance changes was to have two definition directories:

C:\Program Files\Immunet Protect\Tetra

C:\Program Files\Immunet Protect\update

These should alternate back and forth hourly. So 09:03 may be \Tetra and 10:03 might be \update. This allows us to update the defs and prepare the cache file with a smaller spike to the memory than in 2.0.11. Are you not seeing this?
