JanTom
Hello 1. Do you know something about the new version Immunet? Some work in progress? 2. I would also like to know if a bug has been fixed when each signature file is treated as a trust? I believe in Immunet. This is a very good program and does a great job. I use with Avira. Last Immunet is at once better.
ritchie58
Hi Jan Tom, in regards to your first question, until there is some "major" code changes made to Immunet the 3.0 build numbers will continue to be used for the foreseeable future. In regards to your second question I don't quite understand what you're inquiring about. Could you try and clarify your question? Glad to hear you're pleased with Immunet though. It is a great program to help keep your computer protected from all the nasty stuff out there! That's why I use it as a companion AV too! I have it running along side of Panda Cloud AV. The Plus version works great as a stand alone AV solution as well. No need to run the Plus version with another AV. Best wishes, Ritchie... JanTom
Once Immunet detect infected files with signature as trusted. Now is surely OK. I about this talking in 2 point
ritchie58
Unless you change the settings, by default, Immunet will automatically quarantine known malware and suspicious files. If a suspicious file is quarantined and you find this to be a false positive as it is a safe file you can restore that file from Quarantine. Open the GUI and click on Quarantine. Then just click on the file and select Restore. This will automatically place that file in your Exclusion List and will no longer be scanned. A word of caution: only restore files from quarantine that you are "absolutely sure" are safe or you could be unleashing malware into your system! JanTom
Any new news? I am curious what the team plans to Immunet, want to introduce a in new version.
ritchie58
Hi JanTom, A new 3.0.8.9025 version was released not that long ago. This version has some great improvments over earlier versions. Like much quicker scan times & some persistant performance bugs (excessive CPU and/or disk I/O activity) have been fixed. What will be new in the next build and when the release date will be I don't have any info on that subject at the moment. Regards, Ritchie... ritchie58
Hi JanTom, the development team is actually now working on a new build of Immunet to address an issue with Windows XP being used in a business environment and Server 2003 that has been brought to our attention. The next roll-out will fix this bug! I bet we won't have to wait long before this new version is put into public beta or just released as is. Regards, Ritchie... Zurchiboy
Is there going to be any changes in the user interface? I would like to see a results page of the malware detected by the virus scanner. and a bar showing how much it has done.
ritchie58
Hi Zurchiboy, unless I'm misunderstanging your thread those two things already exist with Immunet's interface. If you open the GUI and click on "History" this opens a new History File window. To the right of "View By" if you click on the little drop down menu that will give you the options of Default, Clean File History, Quarantined File History, Scan History & All File Events. You can click on "Summery" from the GUI and that too will give you a type of History graph to show you what Immunet has been up to. If you click on "Detailed History" that will also take you the History File window. :-) Best wishes, Ritchie...
Zurchiboy
Thanks. What I mean with the bar is that it shows how far the scan is. it should say liek 55% complet. like installing software you see a bar showing it's pregress. that should be integrated. ritchie58
Ok, you mean a progress bar when a scan is started. This subject has been brought up before in the "Ideas" section. Other AV's do have them (Panda Cloud uses one) but it was decided to forego such an addition as this would actually increase scan times because Immunet would first have to detirmine how much data needs to be scanned & estimate the time factor involved prior to the scan starting besides having to use more CPU & RAM resources to run the progress bar. Zurchiboy
Comodo 6 shows percentage of scan complete and after a few full scans. it will do a full scan in 50-60 minutes.
