ritchie58
A little more information might be helpful. When you say file sharing, what exactly do you mean? Using a peer to peer service or software? Transfering files within your own private network or a networked business enviorment? Transfering/copying a file to/from a internet cloud (or otherwise) backup service, a backup HDD or USB jump drive? Please note: There has been issues reported concerning Windows XP Professional being used in a networked business enviorment with multiple endpoints and Immunet's newest 3.0.8.9025 build so if you are using a "private network" these bugs could be affecting you in the same manner perhaps. These XP & Server 2003 OS bugs should be fixed in the next roll-out. In addition, Immunet does not condone or support any illegal crack/keygen upload/download service if that's what you're refering to. You run a great risk of infecting your machine with malware if you use one of these sites. Also, having to disable the Windows Firewall to transfer/copy a file "sounds very suspicious" to me from a security standpoint. This seneriao normally should not take place. andywck
Is sharing some of the documents from the XP PC in office network.Others users not able to access that XP PC until the XP PC's firewall is disable. Furthermore, others users not able to find the XP PC in network either search by PC name or IP, no problem when firewall is disable.
ritchie58
Ok, you are office networking with XP. The conflicts with this Operating System will be addressed in the next release of Immunet. Here's what Anthony had to say: (The root cause for this behaviour is a bug that affects Immunet release 3.0.8.9025 on Windows XP and Server 2003 only. The bug interferes with Netbios name resolution. We have found the root cause of the bug and are in the process of testing the fix, the fix will be in the next release of Immunet Protect.) Sorry for any inconvenience this must be causing. If you would like to uninstall the 3.0.8.9025 version and try an older version as a temporary measure until the newest build that has the fixes is released here is an installer for the 32bit 3.0.6.8523 version: https://sourcefire-a...n-us-32-tcp.exe Immunet Protect does not support 64bit versions of XP. If you decide to use the older version could you please send in a SDT Report to support@immunet.com before you uninstall the 3.0.8.9025 version. I'm sure Support/Development would like to take a look at the data. Information on how to create and send a SDT Report can be found here: http://forum.immunet...ic-tool-report/ Cheers, Ritchie...
