ritchie58
Hello TRING, check to make sure nothing is blocking the processes iptray.exe or agent.exe from launching and/or accessing the internet such as your firewall, HIPS, behavior blocker, sandboxing software, etc.... If that's not the problem have you tried to uninstall and reinstall? If you try a reinstall, when asked by the uninstaller if you are going to reinstall Immunet click on "NO", complete the unistall then reinstall and enter your Plus activation code again. If you continue to have problems please contact support directly via email at support@immunet.com. Regards, Ritchie...
chas37tring
Hello Ritchie, Thanks for your suggestions. Uninstalled/Reinstalled X4, temporarily disabled firewall & AV, spent a remote hour with Delhi tech support. All attempts were not successful. Still hoping to resolve issue soon. Any ideas? ritchie58
Sorry to hear you had no luck with support using peer to peer. There is a few things that came to mind. Windows 7 has that UAC security feature. Personally I have that disabled as I found it to be more of a pain than anything else. Causing problems with programs installing or running properly. Try disabling the UAC feature to see what happens. Another regretable possibility is that your machine was already infected with malware before you installed Immunet which is preventing Immunet from functioning properly. I would recommend running a full scan of all your drives with the free version of Malwarebytes 1.70. http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Download, install and update the program if you can and then run that full scan. If you have problems installing or getting MB to run let me know. You may have to install and run Malwarebytes in Safe Mode. There's also the option of using the Chameleon app which will help launch Malwarebytes if it's being blocked by malware. I've used the free version of Malwarebytes for years as an additional on-demand malware scanning tool to compliment my current security setup. thecomputerdude
I would also recommend right-clicking on the install file and selecting "Run as Administrator". You may have account permissions issues that are preventing core services from actually installing. It also could already be running in your traybar, looks like a blue square with a white arrow and black bar inside.
ritchie58
That's a valid point thecomputerdude. Use the Administrator account to install. On that point Immunet does not support Fast User Switching (changing accounts without rebooting) so a reboot is necessary (or using Task Manager to kill iptray.exe for the account that's not being used) if one switches accounts from say the Administrator account to a Guest account. If this isn't done two instances of iptray are launched. Only one instance of iptray.exe can interact with agent.exe. Of course that's after Immunet is properly installed and running. Just thought that was worth mentioning once again.
