AnneW
My Windows 7 laptop uses the free version of Immunet 3, but when away from home I sometimes need to read mail on my Android phone. How can I protect myself on the phone? I know that viruses and trojans designed for Windows wouldn't run anyway on the phone, but I keep reading that Android systems are under increasing attack. ritchie58
Hi Anne, welcome to the Immunet forum! The developers of Immunet have been working on a beta version of a anti-malware app for Android. How far that has progressed in recent months I do not know. However, if using a beta program does not sound like something you would want to partake in the anti-malware company AVG has a free app you may want to look into further. Here is a link for the app: http://www.avg.com/u...rus-for-android If AVG is not to your liking there are other apps out there too. Just type in "virus protection for Android" in your browser's search bar and check the results. I would highly recommend you choose an app from a well established, recgonized company as there are rogue anti-virus apps created by criminals that actually will install malware/spyware instead. That's why I first suggested AVG. Best wishes, Ritchie...

ritchie58
Hello again Anne, the Immunet Mobile app has been put on the back burner for now. However, Sourcefire, Immunet's parent company, has an app for Android. It's called FireAMP Mobile. This app is geared more towards corporate players but I don't see why anyone else with an Android device couldn't use it too. I don't believe there is a free version for this though, but if you would like to take a look here is the link for that. http://www.sourcefir.../fireamp_mobile Cheers, Ritchie... AnneW
Thanks. I have no problem with buying, if it "works for me" :-) though I wish websites wouldn't have a Buy button with no indication of how much they are going to charge until you have committed yourself. Still, I'll get the eval copy and see what comes out of it. Thanks again.
