AdonisAdrastos
Hi I am having a issue logging in to Immunet 3.0 the community part, I have not been able to use the community part meaning login and add people to my community it keeps getting an error message when ever I try to log in saying it can't contact the server I have a hardware firewall on my router but in the past I have have used Immunet without issues. Other then that everything else seems to be fine Immunet isn't restricted by my software firewall privatefireall 7.x. I am just coming back to immunet have been a long time user before I bought a license to AVG and wished I never did lol... I decided to remove it based on the latest test results AVG is very crappy it actually is under the default out of box windows 7 protection which is sad. That being said I'm back noticed a lot of improvements and glad to see everything is good and nice to see sourcefire is part of cisco and plans to keep everything as is. If anyone can help me out I would appreciate that I will be free today and this weekend making time to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance we have a great community here. ritchie58
Hello Adonis, I too find that I can no longer log into My Community after the last install of Immunet. Since this feature is now a redundent aspect of Immunet and really no longer needed, it has been decided that this feature will be eliminated in a soon to be released new build. This "does not diminish the protection" you get from Immunet in any way if you can't log into My Community. It was a unique feature of Immunet and I do kind of miss it but since it's not needed anymore it's really no big deal (for me, anyway) if you can't log in. Cheers, Ritchie... Zurchiboy
They should get rid of the part on the UI.
fblais
Yesterday, I had this "problem" but it finally connected after a while. The program indeed needs some refreshing.
ritchie58
I'm sure when the build that does not contain the My Community feature is rolled out the GUI will reflect that. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what changes are really made. I'm hoping this new build is released before the end of the year as there really hasn't been any major changes to Immunet in quite a while. Some minor bug fix releases but that's it. ghawdex
Since October 10 Update I am running into this problem "YOU CAN NOT SCAN AT THIS TIME. THE SOURCE-FIRE AGENT SERVICE IS NOT RUNNING. PLEASE RESTART THE SERVICE AND RETRY" Can someone please help me. How do I restart the service? ritchie58
Hi ghawdex, there's several reasons why you may get that error message. Here is a FAQ topic that may be helpful. http://forum.immunet...e-what-do-i-do/ If no things apply in the FAQ topic you could try an uninstall and reinstall of Immunet. When asked by the uninstaller if you plan to reinstall Immunet again click on "NO" and proceed with the remainder of the uninstall process. This will give you a completely clean uninstall of Immunet. Then run the bootstrapper again. Install using the English language version if at all possible as you will get the newest version that way. Once installed you'll have to reconfigure your previous settings, exclusions, etc... Let us know if you continue to have issues. Best wishes, Ritchie... davemc@mail.com
I'll miss that spider web of international flags when it goes. Especially since I have a few 'original' folks in my community. I know it's only dressing...but it was pretty cool dressing. Shame they can't keep it and make sure it works without hogging much. ...
