lordpake
I am interested in buying the August special offer. I am not interested in offline scanning and getting full local AV, what I am interested in is the archive scanning, rootkit scanning and above all supporting your software. Is it possible to install/use the pay version alongside resident AV as a cloud-only solution? I don't want to replace what AV solutions I currently have in several PCs but I am interested in augmenting their protection with solution similar to your free version. whitedragon551
I believe the Ethos (heuristics) and Spero (cloud) are what you will want enabled. The Tetra engine is the offline module. Just dont enable it and you should be fine.

Hi lordpake, Of the features existing in the PLUS version today: 1. Scan Archive Files 2. Scan Packed Files 3. Deep Scan 4. Scan Email 5. Rootkit Scan items 1.), 2.), and 3.) above will be included in the FREE version by Christmas! (according to Millard & dallas7!) Plans for including items 4.) or 5.) above in the FREE version I have not heard of, though! Cheers, sweidre

It's been said, but just in case I will re-iterate. You will be fine with other full AV products installed but you need to turn off Tetra. If you do not you are likely to encounter issues such as system slow down. al
lordpake
Ok so it's simply a question of NOT enabling Tetra at all? I was afraid it might, upon entering the license info, install all sorts of drivers and services to ruin my day w/o even giving option to prevent it
