FoxTC
Hi All, Does anyone have experience with Immunet working with Mailenable? We are running Windows Server 2012 and Mailenable 7. Our issue is that we are receiving a lot of Spam and Trojan emails and we need something to stop them. Many Thanks...
ritchie58
Hi FoxTC, to have an anti-virus work with MailEnable you would have to configure the AV as a plug-in for the software. I'm not completely sure but I don't think Immunet can be configured like that. That is, automatic command line scanning of a particular folder or file. The Plus (paid) version of Immunet does have an incoming email scanner that will work with most email clients, but again, it may not work with MailEnable as you can't configure which folder should be scanned as incoming or outgoing packets are downloaded or uploaded. You can configure the anti-virus software AVG as a plug-in for MailEnable. That would cover the malware. I think what you're really looking for is something like "MxScan" that has not only built in anti-malware software but spam filtering technology too. http://www.mxuptime.com/products.aspx There's a free and a paid enterprise version. You can download and install the free version to check for compatibility which is recommended before purchasing the paid product. Also, MxScan uses the open sourced ClamAV engine as part of it's detection/filtering components. This is the same detection engine incorporated into Immunet! Cheers, Ritchie...
