Warrior4Him
Your latest update from 8-25-2022 (file version 7.5.8.21178) will not scan after updating yesterday (it immediately says unable to scan error). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling from a direct download from your website. I had to install an older previous version I had left in my downloads 7.3.12.20143 to be able to scan my computer. Of course it says new version available and wants me to fix it, but I don't want to do so till this issue is investigated. I run English version of Windows 10 Home version 21H1. ritchie58
What you're seeing is usually caused by a connectivity issue. Make sure that Immunet's processes are not being blocked, sandboxed or interfered with by your firewall or other installed security software you may be using. Try installing the new build again and then create new incoming & outgoing allow/exception/exclusion rules with your firewall & other security apps for these processes that Immunet uses. iptray.exe sfc.exe cscm.exe freshclam.exe (if the ClamAV module is enabled) I didn't run into this issue myself after updating to the new build yesterday. bpraj
I faced the same issue and have reported it here - with screenshots of messages. PS: was not sure where to report it & looked for the new version release topic..
ritchie58
Is this scan error still occurring 'after' creating new allow/exception/exclusion rules for Immunet's processes with your firewall & other installed security software? Keep in mind these new firewall, etc... exclusion rules need both incoming & outgoing internet access permissions.
bpraj
@ritchie58you didn't answer to my findings. Please review the screenshots provided. I think it is beyond the firewall settings
ritchie58
You won't know that until you try what I suggested in this & the other post.

I'm reattaching the snapshots i have taken from MS defender scan which shows that immunet 7.5.8 is infected. Please shed some light on this
ritchie58
If you don't want to try the things I suggested then there's nothing else I can do for you. Like I mentioned in the other post Defender gave you a "FALSE POSITIVE" for ClamAV's update files. It's up to you to fix that by creating an exclusion rule for Immunet with Defender!!!! You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.
