Dansk
Immunet has detected itself and indicates that it has quaratined itself. File is Immunet+Protect+Plus+3.1_10924_i81871162_il345.exe. Also, it has detected chrome.exe as a PUP and indicates that it has quarantined it, although it continues to work. Something amiss, perhaps?
ritchie58
Hello Dansk, as a user of Immunet and a forum moderator for years I have never, personally or, heard of anyone else on the forum encountering this situation of Immunet quarantining itself. Do you have any screen capture software to document this? If not, FoxArc Screen Capture by FoxArc Software is a good one. It's easy to learn how to use and it's free. http://foxarc.com/en/free/FoxArcScCap144En.exe If you can get a screen grab or two of the GUI's Quarantine window showing the detection and then create a support dump I'm sure Support would like to take a look at that data. Info on how to submit a Diagnostic Tool Report can be found at this FAQ topic. http://support.immunet.com/index.php?/topic/1672-how-do-i-submit-a-support-diagnostic-tool-report/As far as the chrome detection, that I would concur, is a False Positive as well. You could just use the Restore feature for that. Best wishes, Ritchie...
daphneg
Hi Dansk, I apologize for the delay in the response. On Tuesday, one of our rollouts caused us to indirectly identify some Chrome and Microsoft files. Our engineers were quick to fix this and the file dispositions have been set to the correct value by Wednesday. Although a lot of files have been affected, I believe it should not have caused any major impact as the files will not be quarantined. One of Immunet features called Guard Rails will prevent it from quarantining signed files. Feel free to send us an email at support@immunet.com if you have any questions. Thanks!
