swampy11
When I click on the icon in the task bar, I get a all white rectangle about 1" wide and about 5" lone. That's it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it twice and the same problem. Suggestions please. Thanks in advance. `swamp
ritchie58
One thing you should check is to make sure no other program is blocking or sandboxing the process iptray.exe such as some other installed security program or your firewall. You can also try to manually relaunch iptray.exe (the GUI). You can do this by right clicking on the System Tray icon, this will launch a small context menu. Click on "Hide Tray Icon" from the menu. This will kill iptray.exe. Wait about 5 seconds and then relaunch iptray.exe by clicking on Immunet's Desktop icon or the icon in the Immunet 3 folder in the All Programs directory if you didn't install the Desktop icon. Let us know if you continue to have issues. Cheers, Ritchie...
swampy11
Thank you, turning off the fire wall fixed the problem. All is good. Thanks again. `swamp
ritchie58
Yeah, sometimes that can be an issue with folks if they don't create allow rules for Immunet's processes with their other installed security programs and/or firewall. I would highly recommend, from a security standpoint, that you "turn your firewall back on" and create allow rules for Immunet's processes instead (iptray.exe and sfc.exe), as that does protect you from unauthorized access from hackers and some forms of persistant malware. "Always, always, always use a firewall!!" Best wishes, Ritchie...
ritchie58
Something I should have mentioned in the previous post, if you enable the ClamAV module & updates for it be sure to create a allow rule for freshclam.exe as well.If you need assistance on how to create these rules for your firewall I'd be happy to help out there. Just Private Message me and I'm sure we can sort that out as I have used Microsoft's and a number of other third-party firewalls over the years. My current firewall of choice is Comodo as it has additional virus detection & heuristic monitoring capabilities (with the Defense+ module enabled). Cheers, Ritchie...
