ritchie58
Hi adrin, Bitdefender's detection engine was licensed for use and was modified and enhanced to make it much better at detecting threats and thus became the Tetra engine. This is now only available to the remaining Plus users or those using FireAMP. The ClamAV & Tetra modules act more like a traditional antivirus, using definitions downloaded to your HDD which makes Immunet (or FireAMP) capable for off-line scanning when you're not connected to the cloud. The actual cloud engines are the ETHOS and SPERO detection trees. When these engines are combined that's where you get the efficacy of Immunet being able to detect millions & millions of threats. Cheers, Ritchie... adrin
a simple question immunt cant add ETHOS SPERO data engine to immunet ofline or we cant download your data like comodo( that has 200 MB virus data pack.)?
ritchie58
I don't think you quite understand how Immunet uses cloud technology adrin. You must have an internet connection for the cloud engines to upload any suspicious/malicious files for analysis. If there is no internet connection then Immunet will rely on the definitions downloaded to your HDD from ClamAV or Tetra.
