Hello Mops21, the EICAR test strings contain non-malicious, dummy viruses (usually compressed in a zip or 7zip file). These strings were originally designed for testing the efficacy of different anti-virus products.

"Most AV vendors have 'whitelisted' these rather old test strings" just to avoid needless False Positive reports from their users. However the folks at ClamAV have decided not to whitelist the EICAR test.

So in actuality this is normal behavior for ClamAV to quarantine the contents of the compressed file.
