1935rich
I moved all my files from my old laptop to a new laptop and my immunet v5.0.2 did not transfer properly now it won't connect. I can't install a new copy because the installer says its already the current version. I can't uninstall it because it says its running. I can't find the agent.exe or sfc.exe in the task manager processes window, all I can do is stop the task tray part of the program but it still won't allow me to uninstall/reinstall. Bottom line is I am stuck and in need of help.
ritchie58
Hi rich, it's sounds that some important files associated with Immunet got seriously corrupted during the transfer. Plus, I've never heard of anyone attempting to move Immunet from one system to another in such a manner. With what you've written I assume you already tried the Windows uninstaller through Programs and Features with no success. There is another option at your disposal, using a good dedicated third-party uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller. If you have a 32bit system then I would recommend using Revo Uninstaller Free. Plus the free version is a little less complicated to use. If it's a 64bit system then use the 30 day free trial of Revo Uninstaller Pro as it better supports these platforms. http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.htmlAlso, here is a Youtube video turtoral that outlines the proper way to use Revo. It may not be a bad idea to attempt to completely kill Immunet's processes before using Revo Uninstaller. First right-click on Immunet's tray icon and select "Hide Tray Icon' from the context menu. This kills iptray.exe.Next open a Command Prompt (click on Start, type cmd in the Search bar, click on the cmd icon when it appears) and type exactly this: net stop immunetprotect and then press Enter. That should kill sfc.exe if it's running. I certainly hope this info helps and let us know if Revo doesn't work.Regards, Ritchie...
