leeroyc
Hi, I have just installed Immunet on a server and I want to know if it runs when I am logged out.
ritchie58
As long as Immunet has an internet connection the ETHOS & SPERO cloud engines will continue to provide protection. Even with no internet connection Immunet can give you off-line scanning/protection capabilities if you have the ClamAV module enabled & updated with the newest defs prior to killing your internet connection. Please note that Immunet is not licensed for commercial use anymore. If it's a home based intranet setup that's fine but if you're not a non-profit higher education or charitable organization using a server based multiple-endpoint environment Immunet will not provide any additional support. This information is included in the licensing agreement (EULA) when you first installed Immunet Free. Besides, there have been reports of serious Name Resolution & other conflicts with some server platforms while using Immunet which can hinder file sharing capabilities among connected endpoints. Regards, Ritchie...
ritchie58
There is another option at your disposal. Using what is (essentially) Immunet's enterprise version called AMP for Endpoints. Here's a link to check out the software yourself to see if it better meets your needs. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/security/fireamp-endpoints/index.html This security solution doesn't require you to be an IT genius but some advanced computer technical savvy will go a long way in getting the most out of this product. BTW - Although not free this software can be used for individual home use too. Best wishes, Ritchie...

Hi Ritchie, The Cisco AMP for Endpoints looks very nice and I like the additional features it has. Do you have a contact that would sell it for home use? It looks like it would only be sold to businesses, but if you have more details, that would be great. Thanks, Ryan
ritchie58
Yes you can use AMP for Endpoints for individual home use Ryan. I used it for a year until my license ran out of time and I switched back to Immunet. It doesn't have a traditional UI, instead it uses a on-line console you have to log into to make adjustments to the settings. More info about AMP for Endpoints can be found in the link provided in my last thread. Here's a contact page for Cisco that you can get any of your questions answered by a product specialist. https://engage2demand.cisco.com/LP=567?ecid=136Cheers, Ritchie...
