Shaoran
Hi, Since I test Immunet, I see that all installer are slow. Generally, it takes 1 sec for a exe file or a dll. I checked to be sure that I have not enabled blocked mode so I don't understand why Immunet slow all installers.

I can tell you theoretically why we slow down installers, but this in inconsistent. One thing that would slow it down is if you enabled "Blocking Mode". Please take a Support snapshot (http://support.immunet.com/tiki-read_article.php?articleId=10) and send it to me (millard@immunet.com). Theoretically this happens because we're monitoring every file that's being installed onto your machine and during this time we query the cloud per-file. The problem is that droppers work in a very similar manner in that there is one master executable installing files onto your machine. There might be something wrong with our logic to distinguish the two which is why you see it on some installers, but not all. I'd like to collect more data on this, do you have specific installers that you've noticed this with? Thanks, --Millard
Shaoran
I know about the blocking mode, but I haven't enable it. I think it will not necessary to send you some log file because it happen on all computer or VM I have. Just try with antivir free for example, without Immunet, extract take less than 10 sec, with it, it take more than 2 minutes, maybe more, I didn't wait. I run Avira with my IMP setup and do not see the lag you describe, at all. Without logs this would be tough to diagnose. Perhaps try turning off ETHOS as well just to narrow down possible culprits. al
Shaoran
Well, so I try to disable ETHOS and SPERO, but there is only a change if I disable Monitor Program Install I join data from my VM and my main computer (I see this issue with vlc setup) http://www.mirorii.com/fichier/100/317141/Immunet_Support_Tool_2010_09_17_09_44_10_Main-zip.html http://www.mirorii.com/fichier/12/317142/Immunet_Support_Tool_2010_09_17_09_53_29_VM-zip.html

alfred
I try with 2.0.16, the issue is not fixed. Any new informations ? No, we did not implement any changes on this front really. Are you running both us and Avira? If you mail me your exact config/setup I will try to replicate it down to the second here. If we can pinpoint the error we can fix it. al
Shaoran
I don't use avira, but Panda Cloud, I just see the issue by testing avira and immunet. Panda Cloud have the same issue, in fact, more you have exe and dll to extract, more the install will be slow. I sent you an email with all my hardware, immunet logs, and windows configuration et running apps ans services.
