peekaa
I understand, that immunet 6 can not be installed on windows xp. I got another related question. Would be still immunet 5 working and be able to connect to update-virus database and protect this way my computer in future?
peekaa
Another issue with xp: could we get rid off yellow announcement in right down corner, that new version 6.0 is available when its not for us (xp)? Thank you.
KimG
Me too!!Please consider Windows XP users, since this is the perfect Antivirus for Windows XP machines with limited resources!
elzach
I had the same question. The only solution for the moment is to enable "Gaming Mode", or Settings -> Notification Settings -> Gaming Mode on.
ritchie58
Since Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft you will see that more and more software vendors will no longer support this outdated Operating System as time goes by. XP leaves your computer more vulnerable to malware, hackers and zero-day threats since Microsoft security patches are no longer being issued. My best advice would be to upgrade your Operating System to something newer.

ritchie58
There are two solutions you can use to keep getting bothered about updating every hour. As elzach pointed out one would be to use "Gaming Mode" in Notification Settings. This will stop all pop-up messages including if a malware detection/quarantine response happens. Another option would be to right click on Immunet's tray icon and select "Hide Tray Icon" from the little pop-up menu (thanks for reminding me about that one RobT) but as with the other option you will not be notified if something malicious is quarantined which is less than desirable. That is really not good. No solution is acceptable and antivirus well solved.
