Issues With 6.0.2

I have a problem to start a number of applications after upgrade to 6.0.2 on Windows 10

(Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC).

I uninstall 6.0.2 and applications start without any hesitation.

I didn't have any issues with the previous version, namely 6.0

I've been having CPU utilization issues since I upgraded to 6.0.2 on Windows 10. I've been keeping Task Manager open and every time I open a new application, a new tab in Chrome, or even open the Cortana search prompt (next to the Windows start button replacement), my CPU utilization shoots up to 99-100% with Immunet Protect (Immunet 6.0.2) taking up the overwhelming majority of that utilization. It has basically made my PC unusable with how slow it is to do anything. I'll have to uninstall until the issue is resolved.

This is off topic of this particular subject, but I was also disappointed to see that the support.immunet.com HTTPS certificate expired 258 days ago, according to Chrome. This causes Chrome to automatically redirect to the HTTP (non-encrypted) Immunet support forum page which I had to register and login to, leaving my login credentials for this forum floating across the wire in cleartext.

Hi yurich, did you try adjusting any of the settings before uninstalling version. 6.0.2.10582? By turning off "Monitor Program Start" & "Blocking Mode" in Settings that might have corrected this unless something else is going on to prevent these apps from launching.

HI,

I've just switched off "Monitor Program Start" as "Blocking Mode" had been switched off by default.

It didn't resolve the issues.

Uninstall is the only solution....

New to the Forum and been an Immunet user for many years .. I confirm that version 6.02 breaks Excel and Adobe Acrobat .. I have tried changing the detection parameters without success ... the only solution was to uninstall 6.02 and roll back to version 5.0.2

I am hoping for a solution soon.

I installed Immunet 6.0.2 and performed a whole drive scan successful but noticed that Immunet was consuming tremendous CPU cycles and computer was almost non responsive after scan was complete. Re-booted and Immunet is no longer running and I am unable to uninstall Immunet due to ImmunetProtect_6.0.2 hung while starting up. I am unable to stop this service from an admin window and when I attempt to find the process Id (PID) using sc queryx in elevated command prompt, the command does not return a PID value. The Immunet uninstall feature does not complete due to hung startup service ImmunetProtect_6.0.2 so I am unable to proceed with uninstall of Immunet.

Next steps to allow Immunet startup to proceed or better yet disable or switch to manual startup for this service?

Display name:
Immunet 6.0.2
Service name:
ImmunetProtect_6.0.2
Path to executable:
"C:\Program Files\Immunet\6.0.2\sfc.exe"
Startu Type Automatic
GET PID
sc queryex ImmunetProtect_6.0.2
sc queryex "Immunet 6.0.2"

There is a new 6.0.4.10585 build of Immunet that addresses the issues that some Win 10 users were experiencing. You can easily update to this version by simply clicking on the Update Now button and the build will be pushed to you. Also here's some additional info regarding this issue by EugeneC:

We've identified an incompatibility with the new Advanced Threat Prevention engine and a recent Windows 10 update. If your computer is running Windows 10 Creator's edition and has applied Windows Update KB4038788, you may be encountering stability issues with processes that are protected by this engine. Updating to Immunet 6.0.4 should alleviate these issues.

You can tell if you have this patch applied by running 'winver' from the Start menu. If you see Build 1703 (15063.608), then you may be affected by the issue mentioned above. You can also check to see if KB4038788 is listed under the 'Hotfix(s)' section when running 'systeminfo' from the Start menu.

Just downloaded 6.04 and that version does also seem to fix the problem with Adobe Reader and Excel .. however, 6.04 still has a high CPU usage after I loaded it on a Windows 8, 64 bit machine.

After the initial install the CPU indicator pegged out at 100 % and sat there and fluctuated some, but made the computer almost unusable ... I also went to the Computer Icon, right clicked and left clicked on Manage .. got an Immunet 6.04 .dll error ( forgot what it was ) and I went to the Immunet install folder and the .dll file was there .. ( perhaps not registered properly ? )

Unfortunately, I once again had to uninstall 6.04 and roll back to 5.02.
