ritchie58
I wonder if this malicious code injection, by hackers to these builds, have anything to do with the fact that the AV company Avast! recently purchased Piriform? It does make one conjecture on the motive.https://www.piriform.com/news/blog/2017/9/18/security-notification-for-ccleaner-v5336162-and-ccleaner-cloud-v1073191-for-32-bit-windows-users
ritchie58
"This is a "prime example" of why Immunet uses a on-line bootstrapper installer instead of a more traditional; downloadable, executable installer package!" That makes an incident like this all but impossible with Immunet! That's also why, over the years, we have been "super" reluctant to issue any off-line installer packages. They can be manipulated for nefarious purposes by someone with the right expertise, time & resources.
