"0 People Protected From 0 Threats" Since Update V6.0.4 -> V6.0.6

Recommended Posts

Yesterday i installed the update to v6.0.6 und since then, the cloud-protection seems to be not working.

post-33650-0-45034800-1507282566_thumb.jpg

Both (ETHOS & SPERO) are enabled in the settings and i did more than one reboot.

The problem is the same on my desktop and laptop. Both running Win 7 Pro x64.

Any idea what's the reason for that?

P.S: When opening https://www.immunet.com, it says 0 Members & 0 Threats.

But on http://www.immunet.com(unsecured) everything is fine.

Yup, I have the same thing showing on the UI too. Also the Cloud Notifications don't seem to be functional when this setting is enabled in the Notification Settings tab since version 6.0. OS - Win 7 Ultimate x64 SP1

That's something I noticed a while ago. I bet this issue is also related to whatever is causing this cloud stat bug.

Thanks for reporting this issue to Support tm-107 & and1sc. I'm sure the devs will be looking into this very soon.

Regards, Ritchie...

@ritchie58. thank you for your information, i hope this bug doesn't effect on cloud database connection to our PC, I mean even the program showing 0 cloud protect, but the antivirus still connect to cloud normally.

No connection to the cloud there is no real-time protection from the cloud.

There is only protection in time with the ClanAV engine.

Windows 7 / 64bit Immunet 6.0.6.10600

Greetings from Argentina and congratulations for the good work with Immunet.

No hay conexión a la nube no hay protección en tiempo real desde la nube.
Solo hay protección en tiempo con el motor de ClanAV.

Saludos desde Argentina y felicitaciones por el buen trabajo con Immunet.

I encountered some strange behavior today. The little pop-up UI cloud notifications started working but that it said 0,000 People online, or something like that, which was rather disconcerting! These stats are definetly not displaying correctly either.

That is a legitimate question, is this cloud bug affecting our protection by little or no cloud look-ups taking place with ETHOS & SPERO? I hope that's not the case! Inquiring minds want to know!

One good thing is that the new defs for ClamAV are still being downloaded so if you have that module enabled & updated that will still give you traditional definition signature based AV protection even if there is no cloud connections taking place.

Regards, Ritchie...

P. S. - Cool new avatar there and1sc.

To me, in both laptops says the above (which was there since previous version, just before getting new version 6.0.6), but also it writes that it was last updated 25/11/2031 !!!

What's going wrong?

I managed to fix it via uninstalling and installing again!!!

Edit of minute!!!

It just got fixed (the wrong date - not zero showing) after multiple tries of updates!!!

Hello Aris, I've seen that happen to me once where the date for the last update was all messed up & would not change. This is caused by one or more .db files being corrupted. I corrected this by doing a clean uninstall & reinstall. By clean I mean when the uninstaller asks you if you plan on reinstalling Immunet again select the "NO" option. This will delete all of your history .db files and should correct this. You will have to reconfigure your previous settings you were using and add any exclusions you may have been using again.

I really didn't think that doing a reinstall would correct this cloud stat bug. That's why I haven't recommended or tried that option myself.

Hello ritchie58. This bug with the date comes up again. A few tries of udate and closing and opening the program seem to work for it. Still, no answer for the 0 protected, etc

And, the answer to the stat bug is no!!! That means that reinstalling didnt work for that. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

I usually run the updater as soon as Immunet has launched and had no problems pulling down the latest ClamAV defs & installing them this evening. Why the updater for you wasn't completely initializing is rather odd tm-107!

Aris, another thing to check into would be to make sure the time/date doesn't need re-adjusted from your motherboard's BIOS time/date clock settings and the Windows time/date settings. Also, did you try and do a "clean" uninstall & reinstall like I suggested in my last thread? That is, not saving your history files?

I have the same issue on several machines. Informed Christine on 1 oktober, but haven't had any response about it?

What i don't understand is, why new releases are not checked properly before being pushed?....

The previous version had issues with unwanted stopping the service with booting/restarting, now this issue has been fixed and the new release instantly has another bug.

No good advertising for Cisco ...

Today, Immunet (sfc.exe) uses again and again for several minutes 50-99% CPU without a recognizable reason. During that time, the whole computer is only difficult to use. Stopping and restarting the Immunet service will remove the problem for some time but not permanently.

Is there any way to download and reinstall Immunet v5.x till the problems with v6.x are fixed?

Currently I have terminated the Immunet service manually, since otherwise no reasonable use is possible.

There was a time when a new build would go through a closed alpha and/or public beta testing phase before a final public release was rolled-out, just to (hopefully) identify & iron out most or all of the serious bugs beforehand. I think it would be a great idea if that strategy was implemented once again for the simple fact that this 6.0.6 build does seem rather buggy. I bet there would be sufficient advanced computer/Immunet users that would be willing to participate in such a testing phase to make it viable.

Since Immunet uses an on-line bootstrapper installer there is no option to roll-back to a earlier version.

My best advice would be to PM Christine about your CPU usage issue if you haven't already tm-107.

First I'm sorry for the bad English pronunciation :(

Since the problem not solved, I'm thinking to downgrade my immunet, but I can't find the installer bellow 6.0.6.10.600, can someone help me?

I also wanna ask to @richie58 and @bcouncil about that (downgrade my immunet) are you think this a good idea please help.

I wonder why people think, I very tremendous using immunet? because formely I'm stop using immunet AV and change to B*iduAV,

Result: I must reinstall my PC all my data lost because VIRUS (I don't know the virus or threat name) the viruses use all my processor resources to 100% my PC very lag like a snail running!!! and the viruses demand/force my PC to install many programs!!! the B*iduAV detect that threat but can't handle/banish/stopping the threat!!! System restore not working!!! "I'm *ucked Up like Jon Snow said, that lesson to me :(

Regards to All Immunet communty

Sorry to hear you got infected with some sort of malware and1sc! Before you decide to do a re-install of your Operating System why not try "Emsisoft Emergency Kit" which is free to use. It has a good series of tools you can use to rid an already infected machine of malware. I keep a copy of EEK on a USB stick just in case.

It's also completely portable so you can install the program on a USB device without actually installing anything permanent on your PC. This can be very helpful because some types of malware won't let you install any new AV products on your hard drive. This has also proven useful in the past when helping out other people's infected machines. Just grab the USB stick & go to their residence.

The best way to use the Emergency Kit is to use a friend or relitive's uninfected computer, download the kit and install it on a USB device. Then plug in the USB device on your own computer and run the tools necessary to eliminate the malware. Worth a try before you take the drastic measure of re-formatting your OS I think! https://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/eek/

BYEDUS we don't recommend using any off-line installer package for a previous build of Immunet Protect because of the remote possibility that it may have been maliciously tampered with. Look what happened with CCleaner recently when several off-line installer packages were compromised by hackers!

Thank you for your suggestion @Richie58, anyway after read your reply to @BYEDUS, I'm decide still run this V6.0.6 and waiting for the update,

I still believe in immunet because long history from 2011 by NORTON former staf created Immunet™ to CISCO revive Immunet to a free version,

Why CICSO do that? because CISCO not a Idiot they know the potential of Immunet, and Immunet one of pioneer of cloud based AV community.

Hello everyone,

I've been notified that the community stats bug has been fixed.

As for a brief explanation, our backend processes for gathering current user and virus count totals were broken and left us with no data to display. Most affected users were likely still connected to the cloud. Additionally,  since Immunet 6 we’ve been enabling  our offline antivirus clamAV engine by default which would have protected users even if the cloud couldn’t be reached.

Please PM me if you find that this issue is still unresolved in your particular case.

Thanks for your patience everyone!

 -Christine
