Mosh
EXIF Date Changer's executable comes up as an FP so I can't install the utility. I can't attach the file as Immunet won't let me restore the file from quarantine. Every time I reinstall, it's snatched away from me before I can do anything with it! The install file can be downloaded from Rellik Software (it's version 2.22)
ritchie58
It sounds like a similar situation I ran into while trying to upgrade my Panda Security software. IMP kept recognizing an install file as a threat and would quarantine that file. What I did was disable system boot start up privileges for IMP, rebooted and then ran the installer. That worked for me. Just don't forget to enable system boot start up for IMP afterward. After installation it wouldn't be a bad idea to run a custom scan just to make sure the program isn't actually corrupted with malware. Also in the GUI settings window you can change the Quarantine Behavior from automatic to being asked for files it deems malicious or suspect. I have Immunet ask me what to do for suspicious files instead of automatic quarantine.
Mosh
I have Immunet ask me what to do for suspicious files instead of automatic quarantine. I'll change that on next reboot. I've got a lot of processes running which I don't want to interrupt and at the moment, the Immunet tray icon has vanished so I can't stop it running! ritchie58
By default the icon will automatically hide after a period of inactivity or is it completely gone from the system tray? If that's the case, that's odd behavior indeed. If you bring up Task Manager (press Ctrl, Alt, Delete at the same time) it will show you if Immunet is still running. The processes are: agent.exe and iptray.exe Both of these should be running. The iptray.exe process is the one that controls the system tray icon function. Mosh
Completely gone. *shrug* No big deal. I'm running a way old XP system which is moderately solid given its age and hard use. These things happen.
