General Feel Of Immunet.

Hi, I am sort off trying out immunet free version. I have received spam in my email from someone accessing the immunet forums or blogs. The explanations and answers in the forums here are not really written correctly. I am not sure how effective the product is but it missed a few trojans on my system that other AV programs have picked up.

It seems like a great product and I like the way the forums, chat etc is laid out. But basically very few users and doesnt seem to be a lot of support.

I will persevere with the trial for awhile but dont really have a lot of faith. I am running MSE and 2 firewalls and wanted a cloud based AV as well, they all run ok together but is immunet really adding anything to the mix.

Immunet protect FREE is not recomended as a standalone solution. It is disigned to run with ur security aplication. (avast,mse,malwarebytes)

If u use the trial (with tetra engine-offline protection) it is recomended to remove mse.(2 antivirus may cause bugs).

U cant use 2 firewalls at same time, soon u will have problems.

Also about users: 23 october--->600.000

15 november----> 665.000

In 22 days period,immutet accepted 65.000 users witch is good for a new program.

Personally (i have the free version) it make me feel more secure, with the cost of 6 mb ram. Also, it dont slow my machine.

p.s. i have never recieved spam from immunet.

Guest Orlando

Hi,

Spam?!? Immunet doesn't send spam, I think you are registred in our newsletter (but you must accept and insert your email). Can you send me this "spam email" at orlandopivi@hotmail.it?

About the affidability of program is high, you can see these results of AV-comparatives, our product is one of the better and is in front of more "old" security program, you can read here: http://www.av-comparatives.org/comparativesreviews/single-product-reviews (choose Immunet, August 2010).

Immunet was born in 2008 and we have actually 666,009 users, we are satisfied because there are a lot of security products and more and more people choose this.

Regards,

Orlando

I believe Immunent is an excellent secondary program to run alongside any primary AV. Immunent is lightweight and unintrusive, which provides excellent protection. There may be few hiccups now and then, but major antivirus programs that have been in the industry for years experience problems. Give it a try!

Yes, Snowlee was a pain, he/she also hit our blog. Problem with free discussion forums is that sometimes this kind of stuff happens. I understand Duncan's position on Community in that ours is more quiet than others. I am not sure what to say about that. I have always been perplexed that people spent a lot time in AV forums period. Our community tends to be less vocal and maybe one day that will change, maybe not. When I worked at both Symantec and Mcafee I found the massive (and vocal) community generally added value but was highly charged, politicized and could drive development in the 'squeaky wheel' direction. So far, I like this tempo but that's just my opinion.

Given the industry you are in > internet security software.

It is important that anyone using your forums, blogs, chat etc... is aware that if they send spam or try to advertise other products etc.. that they will be unable to use the facilities.

I suppose like you said `open discussions' but Your credibility is paramount given your products.

A lot of open forums now require login and anyone abusing the system should be kicked off.
