Michael G
I cannot send emails from Thunderbird. I have done the Threat Exclusion thing. I have done the file exclusion thing, as in ... C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Local\Temp\nsmail.tmp C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Local\Temp\nsmail-1.tmp C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Local\Temp\nsmail-2.tmp C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Local\Temp\nsmail-3.tmp [...] C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Local\Temp\nsmail-10.tmp Nothing works. Do I have to uninstall Immunet to get this working?? I would email you directly about this but as I said "I cannot send emails from Thunderbird"!!!!! Michael G
O_o hmmm, i use thunderbird too, works great, no problems. you think realy it is because immunet works? It certainly is an Immunet flaw ... this is from Immunet's support site ... unfortunately, their fix does not work and it is VERY frustrating. Immunet Protect Plus interferes with Thunderbird for Windows. Immunet Protect Plus users who use Thunderbird may experience difficulty sending or reply to email when Immunet Protect Plus is installed. The current work around for this issue is to enter the following Threat Name exclusion in your settings: nsmail.tmp Once this exclusion is applied your Thunderbird installation should begin to work properly again. Guest Orlando
Did you put it in the esclusions as "Threat Name" or the "File Path"? Have you reboot the system? Orlando
Michael G
Did you put it in the esclusions as "Threat Name" or the "File Path"? Have you reboot the system? Orlando All were entered in the proper way and the system(s) rebooted many times. The problem exists on all three computers at this location, two XP netbooks and one Win7 desktop. Guest Orlando
Try to disable all settings in the options, then say to me the result (Dose it work now?). Orlando
Guest Francois
I reported this problem a while ago: http://forum.immunet.com/index.php?/topic/376-problem-with-thunderbird/ The sole current solutions are: Disabling the TETRA engine, which is the same as running the Free version, which is not interesting for people who bought the PLUS version... Or You put the folder where TB creates its temp files in the Exclusions. I don't think this is a good solution either, as Exclusions increase your vulnerability. My solution was to ask for a refund, since the problem was not fixed or even further replied in the above thread.
viktor
Hi, I use Thunderbird portable version and it works great. This sending failure comes out mainly with ecryption settings if users use PGP or/and MIME. Vik
Guest Francois
The problem appears when TB needs to save a temp file, and if you run the PLUS version, and have the TETRA engine enabled. In the FREE version, the TETRA engine is disabled so it's not a problem. TB will save a temp file if you take a few minutes to write your email or reply. If it only takes a few seconds, TB won't save a temp file. And, lastly, I'm never using encryption.

I know Millard sent you a customized build, it's a shame it did not fix the issue but we will get it fixed. We checked in some changes Friday night which may help the issue further. The problem is a kernel level bug, it's actually not Tetra although Tetra expresses it reliably. The same issue is being seen with the Clam engine in our alpha on that product. Hopefully we will have it fixed this coming week. You can, as Francois did, ask for a refund, I would be happy to oblige. Best, al
